Well I don't know about their adverts but their oveny product is crap.

toomuchmonthatendofthemoney · 24/04/2009 19:02

the new adverts are SO crap. i could almost tolerate the gently ironic geeky skinny dude selling mr muscle, but now they've gone all american, chucked humour out the window and gone back to the '50s with a exceedingly stupid "let's copy Superman" cartoon "hero" saving us poor little housewives. Aaargh, tis shite shite shite.

GentleOtter · 24/04/2009 19:03

It actually is shite. Did nothing for my oven but made smelly fumes.

FAQinglovely · 24/04/2009 19:04

haven't see the advert - but it worked well on my oven

Peachy · 24/04/2009 19:13

I hate Mr Muscle

But as I am a freak and rather liked the old Mr Muscles (confession: DH was entered in some lookalike comp once, he's not so skinny now (sadly) ) I am bioased.

That's just between you and I though 2shoes OK? LOL

yappybluedog · 24/04/2009 19:16

I did read something about how Mr Muscle was being used to clean the de-commisioned Sellafield plant, it's more effective than industrial cleaners

which is why it fleeces the lining of your lungs when you use to clean your oven

Fairynufff · 25/04/2009 12:44

What's worse is those adverts where the woman is taking pride in her nice clean shiny floor and the dog and kid comes in trailing muddy foot prints. She smiles in that 'oh you are naughty but it just gives me an excuse to do the thing I live for - cleaning the floor again! (cue fake smile)'. On what planet does anyone smile when some fucker has just trailed mud over a clean floor?

Many of the cleaning product adverts are one step away from Taleban ideas of womaen - YANBU
