I've been at work all morning, both dss have been at nursery. DS2 is in bed, ds1 is tired, I'm knackered, we're going out for tea then I have to go back to work tonight. AIBU to go an sit on the sofa with ds1 and read my mag while he wtches tv for an hour??? I feel very guilty about it...

He's tired. You said so yourself. You're not only being reasonable, you're being a good and caring parent. Top marks.

Is it a quality magazine, though?

BitOfFun · 23/04/2009 14:36

Blimey, all the things that would get done in my house if I felt a smidgeon of guilt!

Pheebe · 23/04/2009 14:36

Good lord, no you are NOT being unreasonable. Enjoy your well-earned rest!

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 23/04/2009 14:38

What magazine?

I'm arsing around on here and ignoring the children and the housework smug in the knowledge I have had a very productive day.

Though I feel twangs of guilt having practically ignored the DC in the park earlier due to a very attractive man.

jumpingbeans · 23/04/2009 14:38

How dare you sit down, get up, that ironing won't do it's self, and you could do with running the hoover round, what about the cooker, it could do with a clean,,,what did you say..cough?

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 23/04/2009 14:39

Ooh Fortean Times, good choice!

ItsGrimUpNorth · 23/04/2009 14:40

I think you need therapy to feel guilty about such a thing.

Erm, it's good for children to see their parents doing stuff that doesn't involve them?

BitOfFun · 23/04/2009 14:42

Ooh, fit bloke eh? Sorry Pheebs, but you're reading your mag, right?

BouncingTurtle · 23/04/2009 14:43

YABVVU.

You should be on Mumsnet, not wasting your time on magazines

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 23/04/2009 14:50

Oh bof he was bloody gorgeous. Huge blue eyes, fab tight corkscrew afro, grubby manly hands. He's a single dad and his daughter was a sweetheart too.

Swoon.

He will be in the park the same time tomorrow, he mentioned it casually as we left

Swoon some more.

BitOfFun · 23/04/2009 14:52

Yeeeeay! He sounds gorgeous - he must be gay

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 23/04/2009 14:53

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 23/04/2009 14:54

BitOfFun · 23/04/2009 14:59

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 23/04/2009 15:00

BitOfFun · 23/04/2009 15:03

VinegarTitsThePorker · 23/04/2009 15:08

So this is how you meet single good looking men?

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 23/04/2009 15:09

Just why do all the attractive people suddenly appear when it's sunny? Do they hibernate?

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 23/04/2009 15:11
