I just don't know what to do..?

She's really sweet and bright and they are just rubbish scum of the earth sorts.
They spend their entire time slumped in front of the television, which we all know is no good for children, right?

So, AIBU to want to adopt her?

how do you know they spend all their time infront of the tv?

noddyholder · 22/04/2009 19:37

No you are absolutley right Bloody chavs

littlelamb · 22/04/2009 19:38

Err, YABU
I'm thinking there must be more to this story. If you saw how much Cbeebies my dd has been watching while I've been ill this week you would be calling SS on me right now

nametaken · 22/04/2009 19:38

Sigh, we can't possibly say until you give us more info.

If the reason you want to adopt her is because her parents watch loads of telly then yes, YABU

notnowbernard · 22/04/2009 19:38

I'd have called Social Services already. I think you've been negligent, personally, so YABU

i really thikn you need to come up with something more than TV watching to make them sound like scum of the earth

is she fed? cuddled? loved? safe?
unless you are there 24/7, you don;t really hav e a true picture of what goes on

my children spent pretty much the entire easter holidays watching telly etc as i was unable to drive and be very mobile due to a badly sprained ankle.so if you had been a fly on the wall in my house, you would have got a v v different picture to how life usually is

This is the sorriest excuse for a trolling post I've ever seen.

Jenhoney - couple of tips:

Don't post your crap as your first ever post

Provide much more detail - a little ambiguity, a little artistry. Don't say they're scum of the earth - hint it gently by referring to personal habits, lifestyle, behaviour. Take a pride in your shit-stirring or you'll never get anywhere!

Sorrento · 22/04/2009 19:41

She sounds like Matilda, you should definitely rescue her.

Auntylulu · 22/04/2009 19:42

@ northernlurker

Katerina75 · 22/04/2009 19:42

Does she read a lot? Moby Dick, by any chance?

nametaken · 22/04/2009 19:42

Excellent advise by Northernlurker if I might say so.

Gentle · 22/04/2009 19:43

Did someone fart in here?

littlelamb · 22/04/2009 19:43

hahaha SOrrento you have rumbled it! Poster is Miss Honey...

Auntylulu · 22/04/2009 19:43

i don;t like AIBU that aer supposed to be literary/TV references etc...

Katerina75 · 22/04/2009 19:44

YANBU by the way as for some reason the authorities will think it's absolutely fine if she goes to live with you

JenHoney · 22/04/2009 19:44

All her mum does is play bingo all day and watch television
Her dad's some sort of scam artist
They're the sort of family that think family time is just Gameshows playing at full blast

FGS they think that having a book will spoil her and she's just incredibly sweet.
