YANBU - my daughter told me yesterday that her swimming bus was hit by a car on the way back from the pool and my son's morning minibus was sideswiped by a lorry in an adjacent lane recently too, and both incidents have scared the life out of me (though in neither case is there any suggestion that the bus driver was at fault).
