To wish that people who open the fabric conditioners in the supermarket to test the smell would stop

Cos you NEVER put the lids back on tightly enough and 'I' always end up with a leaky bottle which goes all over my muffins

no one wants a smelly muffin

honie · 18/04/2009 16:11

OOhh. Itchy huh?

Sorry.....

Sassybeast · 18/04/2009 16:12

That Christmas stuff was particularly bad - must have been the holly

No can do, sorry. Am pregnant and the smell of many fabric conditioners makes me hurl, so I have to be careful. I do think I screw the lids back on tightly, but will take extra care from now on!

Sassybeast · 18/04/2009 16:17

Yankncock - are you telling me you get a kick out of standing in the laundry aisle sniffing until you are sick.......

I craved the stuff when I was pregnant, used to sit on the kitchen floor sniffing the just washed still damp clothes as I unloaded the machine, for hours

JuxaLOTmoreChocolate · 18/04/2009 16:38

Well they give them such silly names, like black diamond, that I want to make sure it doesn't smell like cowdung or vomit. Bit like Bertie Bott's beans.

yankncock... once you know which one is ok surely that's it? just buy the same one.
do you get through a lot? mine lasts about 2 months

psychomum5 · 18/04/2009 16:43

sassy, what you need to do is also get into the habit if smelling the one you buy, and then you know that the lid is either properly put back on, or if it leaks, tis your fault

YanknCock · 18/04/2009 17:01

No, I don't get a kick out of making myself barf in supermarkets, though in re-reading I can see how you'd think that. If this were my thing, it would be fairly easy--I'd just go to the bread aisle!

I'd love to get the same one every time, but for some reason, the scent I know I like isn't always there, so I end up having to pick a new one. Also my aversions seem to change, so I have a reassuring sniff before buying, just in case.

Actually, it's not fabric conditioner I get anyway, it's the liquid 2-in-1 stuff (can't be faffing around with two things), so it doesn't last me that long.

Does that mean I'm off the hook? Since it's not actually fabric conditioner I'm getting, I must not be Sassy's culprit, right?
