Found it, had to go back to shop several times as couldn't quite bring myself to part with the money!

Loved it, showed to all my friends who cooed over it like it was my pfb. As you do.

Fast forward 2 months. Went to friends house only to discover said FRIEND has bought exactly the same bag. Said, oh my dad bought this for me on Oxford St, is it exactly the same as yours?!

So AIBU to ebay the bag and get a different one. DH cross as was £50 and bday pres but how can i have the same bag> Will be forever going into wrong bag, people commenting every time etc. So peed off.

Be flattered that your friend admires your style

It's surely not worth letting your hubby get upset over.

MrsMerryHenry · 14/04/2009 20:34

I think you're being a bit silly. Her 'dad bought it' story is rather weak, but we've all bought something because we've seen someone else wearing it, so you should be flattered. And if you really think it's so unacceptable for your friend to have it, why should you be the one to get rid of it?

Bit bonkers, IMO.

how much do you hang around together? tbh I would not notice if 2 people had the same bag

charmkin · 14/04/2009 20:45

She was with her dad at the time.
I see her all the time.
Which is why she knew it was a really special once in a lifetime purchase and how much I liked it.

Which is why I'm so pissed off.

Which is why I can't believe she did it

She's already gone into my bag thinking it's hers. That will be happening all the time, its' ridiculous

are you 18?

Put a mouse-trap in your handbag and leave it within her reach.

More seriously, keep your handbag and personalise it in some way. Everyone knows you got yours first and she is behaving like a teenager. If you change your bag then you will both be behaving like teenagers.

melpomene · 14/04/2009 20:52

Couldn't you buy a nice handbag charm to put on it or something? Then you could tell them apart.

MrsMerryHenry · 14/04/2009 20:54

PMSL at boysarelikedogs

Alambil · 14/04/2009 21:06

was it the only one made?

No?

In that case, THOUSANDS of women are going to have the same bag

You can't POSSIBLY have a bag that no other human has, unless you make it yourself.

Stop being silly.
