When she phones up and puts on a silly childish voice and asks to speak to DD, who is 3?
We get on well but this is starting to grate.She rings most evenings usually managing to time it for when DD is in the bath and think she could speak to me first instead of just asking for DD in a silly voice...

yeah - those pesky grannies and grandads... wanting to speak with their grandkids... shocking it is, its a freaking disgrace..maybe if they set up a formal agreement when they would like to speak with them it would be better, a written agreement, yeah, thats the way forward.

yeah I know what you mean - unreasonable f*xckers.. wanting to talk to the grandchild tht they love so much....not tht you could say possbly, not being awkward that can you call at 8 instead of 7 because they are having a bath, and actually, after their bath, when they are all snuggly and clean and yummy a phone call from granny would be cool while mummy or daddy takes a ten min time out....that actually would work out, or something like that, but that would take intelligence.

Oh I wish my mil would ring to speak to the dc's... she just rings dp at work.
Fil only rings the house when he wants to pick dp's brain over some building related thing.
YABU to object to her ringing to speak to her grandchild, but I'll let you off cos you say you are 'irritated' with her and not ranting about how much you hate her!

No 'letting off' ... its not about Mum or Dad,. its about Granny and Grandad, children loving them for who they are, no prevous, just their history to make between each other...leave your issues aside and grow up..

GEt caller display so you know who is calling or get an answrer phone like we have so we dont have to answer the phone if we dont want to.
