At my friend slating her SIL who has a 3 month old baby 'her house is just covered in dust, I don't know what she does all day'
The friend is planning to have her own baby next year and I know its mean but I sniggered behind my hand in a 'You'll learn' way.

YANBU

poor friend! going to get a huge shock (like so many of us did...... me included)

a friend of mine once asked me "Why is it so hard to leave your newborn baby crying while you have a shower?"

VinegarTitsTheVirginNun · 08/04/2009 09:35

Should have said 'she probably lounges on the sofa all day eating chocolate, thats what all ne mums do'

Then she will be in for a right shock when she has her baby

jennylindinha · 08/04/2009 09:35

Oh dear - I am sitting here with a 6 month old DD and my flat is still covered in dust! Yes, she will learn. I sometimes cringe at the memory of things I have thought/said about others with kids, before I had one myself...

So no, YANBU

YADNBU
My dc are 8 and 4, they are out for the day with mil, and I'm still in my dressing gown surrounded by dust.

yanbu at all.

i was really shocked the other day when one of my friends was slagging her sister off because her house was messey even though her sister had a newborn colicky baby.

worse things is this friend is a mother herself!

tessofthedurbervilles · 08/04/2009 09:51

This 'friend'has done nothing but criticies her sil since baby born (masty comments about her post baby weight etc)
Oh I cannot wait for karma!!!

Blimey - do you not wonder what this 'friend' says about you??

LOL not implying your house is full of dust bunnies or that you're carrying some baby weight.... but if someone were that horrible I'd be wondering what she found 'lacking' in me or my house???

IheartEASTEREGGS · 08/04/2009 12:30

i bet she's a bitch about everyone including you!
I wouldnt laugh when she says nasty things, I'd tell her to stop being such a cow!

tessofthedurbervilles · 08/04/2009 12:47

Well she is marrying a really good friend of mine, she's not someone who is a friend by choice and we all seem to tolerate her tbh. I am fully aware of her catiness but actually pity her as it all seems to be based on total insecurity.
As I say I am just awaiting karma for her sil and anyone else she slags off...
