To want to report this family to the SS?

Walking home from the shops earlier, there were two little boys (aged about 5) riding up and down the road on their little bikes. "how cute" I thought "two little lads riding their bikes in the sun whilst their dad watches from the front garden ...."

And then one accidently crashed into the other one. The lad on the floor picks himself up, I wonder if I should help and he suddenly turns to his little friend and shouts:

"You fucking retard!"

The other little lad blasts back:

"Fuck off, fat c*nt!"

Dad then shouts "Push him off his fucking bike! don't let him push you about mate!"

I can't get my head around families like this. Why the hell would you bring your kids up like that? I can't wait to move away from here but I'm told "Shameless types" are pretty wide-spread these days and I'd be lucking to move down a street that didn't contain at least one family like this

The state of Britain really gets me down.

i know a family like this and they have just been accepted to foster

KnifeNFork · 07/04/2009 18:16

awful, but I don't think sws will be too interested, they have more serious stuff to deal with.
I don't think we have anyone like that on this street, not sure it's that widespread...hope not.

aGalChangedHerName · 07/04/2009 18:18

Poor little boys tho eh? Don't stand a chance

traceybath · 07/04/2009 18:18

it is sad and shocking.

Was walking round asda today and little girl had obviously wet herself so mother (or woman in charge of the two little girls) just kept laughing and calling her pissy pants and getting the other girl to call her that too.

Just seemed really mean.

Geepers · 07/04/2009 18:20

It happens the country over, SS would be overwhelmed if they had to deal with all of them.

It's harsh, and shouldn't happen, but I've seen worse.

myredcardigan · 07/04/2009 18:20

This thread is a little sensationalist!

Most 5yr olds in most areas, regardless of how deprived, do not speak like that and neither do their parents.

MrsMcCluskey · 07/04/2009 18:20

Some poor children really don't have a hope with some of the morons around who are parents.
Dont think SSD would be interested, unfortunatley there are too many of the same as you describe.

Gillyan · 07/04/2009 19:21

I don't suppose there is a single thing SS could do, they are just behaving like the parent from the sounds of it. It is sad though isn't it.
