...Who i met on an online dating site

He is 28 (i am 22)
He is a lorry driver through an agency
He can't spell (or, in fact even talk properly, for example, when talking on the phone he keeps saying 'somefink' instead of 'something'
Uses txt spk all the time
Seems to want to talk about DS alot, it could just be that he does love kids, or is just shy and wanted something to talk about, but none the less
He wants to meet up straight away
He wants to 'pick me and my son up'
After talking to him for 5 mins he wants to know whether or not i like him??? how the hell do i know?
He still goes to 'hang out' with his friends!

Oh yeah, and he still lives with his parents

I couldn't get him off the phone and now i have i am going to change my number (i have a stack of sim cards due to a rather persistant XP [bwink}] )

That would piss me off. Run as fast as you can!

Ronaldinhio · 06/04/2009 23:10

is this a joke thread?

GypsyMoth · 06/04/2009 23:10

Not sure!!! Meet him alone first maybe?

Tinker · 06/04/2009 23:11

Ooo, no, especially at "After talking to him for 5 mins he wants to know whether or not i like him???"

themoon66 · 06/04/2009 23:11

Sounds like he's pissing you off already and you've only spoken to the phone.

I'd tell him you don't feel compatible.

You owe him nothing. If he's on a dating site, he probably 'chatting' to other females too.

fattiemumma · 06/04/2009 23:15

the mentioning your Ds thing is probably him trying to sound interested.

everything else would have me running for the hills

Why would this be a joke thread?

have i missed something? havent been on here much recently

Yeah, i think i will tell him where to go, he told me he is 'ready to settle down' and he thinks i am lovely

He seems a bit too keen

If i am feeling nice i might point out that he may want to tone it down a bit so he doesn't look so desperate

(and to book into a gcses english class )

HolyGuacamole · 06/04/2009 23:26

ROFL

Ronaldinhio · 06/04/2009 23:29

It's just that everything about him screams NOOOOOOOOOOOOO

So I wondered if this were perhaps a joke thread that I hadn't picked up on...you know like sometimes they pretend to be Mary Poppins etc etc drip feed us information and eventually we catch on

I thought that this might be the same only much, much darker.

Sorry I didn't realise you were, in all seriousness, actually contemplating wasting more of your time speaking to this individual or developing a relationship

piratecat · 06/04/2009 23:30

you don't like him.

next...

MsSpentEaster · 06/04/2009 23:31

I did in fact wonder if i was being a little picky, until i started typing it all out and ended up with the OP

I think we can safetly say i am not just being a little picky

FluffyBunnyGoneBad · 06/04/2009 23:33

ScottishMummy · 07/04/2009 00:02

called Tallulah with big hairy hands and curmudgeonly figure

HolyGuacamole · 07/04/2009 00:05

Is it truck drivers who have a girl in every port.....or is it every petrol station.....or truck stop.....

Oh the romance of it all.

ScottishMummy · 07/04/2009 00:07

a burd at every texaco.the smell o diesel. greasy wheels.who said romance is dead

Mumcentreplus · 07/04/2009 00:09

when I think of lorry Drivers...I always think of prozzies...

HolyGuacamole · 07/04/2009 00:15

Some of the posh petrol stations nowadays even have KFC. That would swing it for me....

If you are serious about this man, in all honesty you should ask him if he puts one of those light up xmas trees in his windscreen at Christmas. If he does, he's probably pretty decent.
