We have been invited to a wedding 3 hours drive away, had planned for DS to stay at my parents who he loves but he is poorly. Feel like I shouldn't go.......what would you do?

How well does he know your parents? Well enough to feel soothed by them when he falls down in your company? If so, go and he'll be fine. Also, calpol is wonderful stuff.

and tomorrow is another day - what time do you leave?

He adores them. They have him twice a week whilst I work etc. We leave at 8am tomorrow and will be back lunchtime Sunday

I have done this . Calpol is indeed marvellous stuff, as are cuddles from granny and lots of stories. Keep your phone switched on, give your parents NHS Direct number and try not to worry. Chances are he'll be absolutely fine, and if there's a problem...well, they brought you up ok, so they'll probably cope. Have a lovely time.

How do your parents feel about having him when he's poorly? Are they up for a broken night if he feels rough?
