To worry about DS's taste in women?

My 10 year old DS has very recently discovered the beauty of the opposite sex but he seems to be attracted to complete odd balls. I'm not trying to be judgemental and I know he's very young and shouldn't be taken too seriously but...

First he had a fixation on the lead singer from the Donnas (punk band) and now he's obsessed with the singer from Evanescence. He's put a picture of her as my desktop picture and she looks like a bloody funeral director or something.

Is it just because he likes this kind of music that he's going for these women or what?

My DS wants to marry DH - you think you have problems? (He is only 4 though!)

you could look at it this way...

at least he's interested in girls he might have something in common with - rather than fake boobs, fake hair, fake tan page 3 types!

Sounds like he'll have some lovely interesting girlfriends to bring home when he's older, not vacuous bimbo types.

lol, why are they oddballs? I don't think there is anything wrong with either of them.
In saying that, my first crushes were Boy George and Robert Smith.. and i never dated anyone with short hair. :P
But really, would you rather he was attracted to barbie type girls?

10! that's young isn't it? I thought they weren't interested for years yet

That said, when he was a baby, he LOVED huge boobs. He'd turn his head right round and stare, wide eyed. Clearly thinking COR tht's a big dinner

He sounds cool - he's going for the less obvious crushes! I'm impressed,

but you know, 'oddballs' tend to be really nice people!
