...the one with Jacqui Smith and her beardy, porn watching husband. She is wearing the EXACT same purple cardigan and green patterned silk cotton top that I ordered a couple of weeks ago from the new Boden collection. I suspected they looked a bit mumsy on me, and seeing how they look on her has evaporated any vestige of pleasure I had in them. Perhaps it was this look that induced the husband to get his jollies from mucky films....and now it's too late for me to send 'em back.

can you claim the cost of it on expenses, though?

Stick a picture of Michelle Obama's head on top of it .

SunshineIsAMiracleCure · 02/04/2009 10:42

imagine how I felt when I spent a year's mortgage interest payments on a coat made of naughty material only to see JUDY FINNEGAN sporting the very same one in Hello

(this is a number of years ago)

TsarChasm · 02/04/2009 10:43

Send in a picture of yourself as part of the 'Lookalike' section?

Only joking!

georgimama · 02/04/2009 10:47

Sue.

PuppyMonkey · 02/04/2009 10:47

I once had a really nice cardigan from Jigsaw and spotted Little Mo from EastEnders wearing it in one episode. I was mortified.

LadyThompson · 02/04/2009 10:52

It serves me right for being a porker. I only had my DD 4 months ago but when you find you are dressing like one of the more grating cabinet ministers, it's time to get back on the rowing machine. Long line Boden garments ain't gonna make me look like Holly Willoughby. Sunshine and Puppy, at least you can blame the stylists. There's no hiding place for me: she no doubt chose them herself.

puppymonkey that is weird - because I once bought a skirt from next and promptly saw little Mo wearing that, too! a purple one...

TheCrackFox · 02/04/2009 11:03

I think a strongly worded letter to the editor might be in order. Perhaps you could photograph the entire contents of your wardrobe?

tallulahbelly · 02/04/2009 11:07

Well imagine who I felt on seeing my M&S pussycat bow blouse being worn by one of the men in a documentary on transvestites.

tallulahbelly · 02/04/2009 11:09

'How' I felt, obviously

PuppyMonkey · 02/04/2009 11:11

Donnie, it makes you wonder how she could afford it on her cleaning wage.

EasterBunnysWizzskas · 02/04/2009 12:34

Talulahbelly lol at 'who I felt'.

Work2hard · 02/04/2009 15:16

YANBU. The sad beetch is also wearing the top I have just bought from Boden. Now, call me dog-in-the-manger if you will, but these are NOT colours that I would wear together...I'm quite depressed about it all, I haven't even worn the top yet and I may just have to return it.

LadyThompson · 02/04/2009 15:19

Yes, quite; I may have ordered the two items but I wouldn't actually have worn the cardi (light purple) and the top (predominantly green) together.

Even after a night's sleep (not a good night's sleep admittedly) the Jacqui Smith in my clothes thing still grates.
I must move on, I really must....

Longtalljosie · 03/04/2009 11:44

I bought some tracksuit trousers from M and S and also the pink zip-up fleece that went with them. Wasn't mad on it but it matched and I thought it would be handy.

Then Pauline Fowler started wearing said fleece all the time on EastEnders. Went to the charity shop in the end...

solidgoldshaggingbunnies · 03/04/2009 11:50

I once saw a photo of Sarah Ferguson wearing a dress just like my lovely Carnaby St naughty PVC mini... grrr.
