To REALLY love firefighters?

An elderly lady fell over in front of the fire station today and before I could pull out my mobile, a couple of yummy firemen came running out to save the day.

They were so scrumptious lovely, calming and professional.

I may have to bake them something.

Dp's mates are all firemen so he gets a bit miffed when i go Phwaor. tough for some reason none of his mates look like the firemen i see when i dream think about them.

HeadFairy · 01/04/2009 18:42

They are lovely aren't they? I had to call 999 once as my neighbours fire alarm was going off when she was out. They had to get the extending ladder out and break in... the alarm had only fallen off the wall, no fire. But they were lovely about it while me and my flat mate turned in to giggling simpletons offering to make them tea and passing round the biscuits

GypsyMoth · 01/04/2009 18:43

I Always volunteer for helpers with cubs outings!!!!!

They go to the fire station for an annual visit!

BrokenFlipFlop · 01/04/2009 18:45

I was under the impression that it was compulsory to fancy ALL firemen. Even if they aren't super good looking, the uniform and fact that they save cats from trees makes them very scrummy.

Big up the firemen

AlistairSimnelcake · 01/04/2009 18:48

I think it should be obligatory for all women to date a fireman.

My last boyfriend before DP was a firemen.
By heck, he was a stud muffin.

AlistairSimnelcake ....

Did your exDP ever um.... accidently forget to remove his uniform before leaving the fire station and well, accidently wear it into the bedroom??

Personally, I'd have made him

cheshirekitty · 01/04/2009 18:55

Think the job they do is amazing. The fire alarms were always going off in the nursing home I worked in.

(Cheshirekitty hides the lighter down the side of the sofa).

IwoulddoDrWho · 01/04/2009 18:55

Personally I draw the line at Fireman Sam. Or evrn Pew Pew Barley McGrew tho I would do Grub.

SadieSunshine · 01/04/2009 19:01

I have

  1. made a suggestive comment to a fireman after they put out the fire on my car.

  2. went looking for firemen just after the stroke of midnight on New Years Eve in the firestation across the road from the party.

  3. was rescued by firemen from a lift when I was about 10 yo

I love 'em

My dad's a fireman. It ruins the fun

AlistairSimnelcake · 01/04/2009 19:37

DP make a funny growling sound whenever we see a fireman.

Which is difficult as we have a station at the end of the road.

Poor DP.

There are plenty of other professions to perv at, Spongey.

Police?

I bet that old lady does it every week. Either that or she tours the stations in the area falling over.

Springy- naked handymen?

snickersnack · 01/04/2009 19:40

I was given a Fit Firemen calendar one year as a Christmas present. That was a good year . I do love firemen...

SpringySponge · 01/04/2009 19:41

Traffic wardens don't quite do it for me, shockingly

He was a soldier, too. But before I was born, so it's not too ruined.

& haha, bronze

AlistairSimnelcake · 01/04/2009 19:43

That sounds like my kind of hobby, bronze.

An old friend of mine was married to one. Many happy memories she had of going to meet her DH in the firestation and 'having' to walk past their changing rooms to get to where he was.

bamboobutton · 01/04/2009 20:00

my dads a fireman too! takes the whole shine off it though, boo.

they are heroes though, my dad has rescued two women from being attacked while in uniform. he was in the papers about it both times.

AlistairSimnelcake · 01/04/2009 20:58

Awww, bamboobutton, that's lovely. No wonder you're proud!
