to still feel a tiny bit hacked off that I was found lacking by a certain "rival" website?

I have my suspicions what the reasons were for my rejection but won't go into them because I don't want to disclose who I am.

And yes I do know for a fact that I was vetoed, not "accidentally left out".

Ronaldinhio · 31/03/2009 21:27

you are inspiring me to troll there...please stop

nickytwotimes · 31/03/2009 21:28

Wedges tickle you then, MP?
Marthasmama, I joined NM with the same intentions as you, but couldn't understand either.

theyoungvisiter · 31/03/2009 21:28

When I was in hospital having DS1 the menu of the day was:
Cheese and potato pie
Mashed potato
Chips on the side
Vegetable: mashed swede.

When I refused the chips the helper looked at me with scandalised reproach and said "you'll have a chip now - go on now - just a few chips to build you up after the baby."

They had obviously gone to the same School of Carbs as the netmums contributer.

theDreadPirateRabbit · 31/03/2009 21:30

Is mashed swede a vegetable then? I've often wondered what it was for...

beanieb · 31/03/2009 21:31

Where is the op

FlappyTheBat · 31/03/2009 21:31

Only posted on NetHuns for one evening on my break from here.

I stupidly thought that it would be a bit like here, people saying it as it is, bit of banter.

I was completely wrong, there didn't seem to be much in the way of discussion - just a lot of people agreeing!

FairLadyRantALot · 31/03/2009 21:33

oh, I lurve mashed swede and carrots....hmmmmm..
oh god...am I going to be asked to join netmums now....
oh, hang on I am a member there, and Babycentre, too , and Bounty and Raising Kids....never posted on netmums though, never got into Bounty, used to love Babycentre and still like Raising Kids....but to busy with mumsnet...

Marthasmama · 31/03/2009 21:35

I wanna go trolling on Netmums but i'm too STUPID!!! Wahhhhhhh!

webtastic · 31/03/2009 21:35

I wandered into netmums after hearing about it on mn, one glance at the coffee chat forum was enough to make me twirl away, grabbing my saggy norks running back to mn.

TheCrackFox · 31/03/2009 21:36

"But, if there are only those deemed worthy on this secret site - approx 50 at most.............god wouldn't it be boring? I mean what on earth do they talk about??"

I've often wondered just how dull Mouldies must be. I think, secretly, that a lot of them regret flouncing but are too embarrassed to admit it.

Quattrocento · 31/03/2009 21:40

LOL at it's all very Opus Dei

Funny.

I thought it was masonic myself.

controlfreakythecontrolfreak · 31/03/2009 21:41

most of them havent flounced properly though from what i can see.... they've (mostly)changed their names and carried on posting.... which must be rather cutting off your nose to spite your face since no one will "know" who you are / your longstanding status etc...

lou33 · 31/03/2009 21:42

i found it quite amusing to be blackballled

i didnt ask to join but i was apparently nominated, though when i found out i think i did chuckle and say no thank you

i cant imagine me on a site run by cod really can you?

MrsMattie · 31/03/2009 21:43

Oh yes, the Coffeehouse!@webtastic. I'd forgotten about it. Bless. It conjures up images of polystyrene cups of Nescafe with coffee mate for me.

MN is more a 'large gin' kind of place.

MrsMattie · 31/03/2009 21:44

Ah, I do miss fishface. We had a love hate relationship. And she brightened up Stule & Beauty with her Nora Batty-esque quirky fashion choices.

MrsMattie · 31/03/2009 21:45

damn strike through when it fails!

controlfreakythecontrolfreak · 31/03/2009 21:46

ah yes... the school run dress saga.... the perfect raincoat epic.... etc etc.

Eve · 31/03/2009 21:46

....sooo... if all the moldies have gone, can we do the competition to see who has been on mumsnet the longest.

only becasue I might win this time!!!

...and I'm wasn't invited... not cool or trendy enough!

lou33 · 31/03/2009 21:48

you might win, i joined in oct 2000 and am number 985 i think

TheCrackFox · 31/03/2009 21:48

I have never had to bother with the school-run dress saga. Living in Edinburgh means it rains 90% of the time.

I am continually obsessed with the decent rain coat epic.

TheCrackFox · 31/03/2009 21:49

Lou - do we get a number?

JudithChalmers · 31/03/2009 21:50

Cod does not run/own/maintain/organise/invite/do anything adminny at all on modlies.

controlfreakythecontrolfreak · 31/03/2009 21:51

i am 666

controlfreakythecontrolfreak · 31/03/2009 21:51
