To storm out of a cafe, children in tow, protesting loudly at 'lack of respect' because teenage oafs behind counter wouldn't turn the thumping music down despite being asked (nicely) twice????

That caff really wound you up didn't it.

It was the second one I went to after storming out of first because of milky drink issue.

I must have made an impression as (off duty) manageress rang me at home to apologise profusely.

(My poor long suffering offspring.)

Can't help laughing at the thought of you keeping on going into cafes and being incensed that they're serving hot, frothy drinks.

Should you not just have visited some cheese shops instead?

Am seriously impressed she 'phoned you at home, though. What did you say to merit that kind of humble, bespoke apology?

differentEggD · 29/03/2009 00:06

No, I'm in the Valleys- you're safe!

Er......, I did tell them I'd be back on Monday to discuss the situation with the creative director (who happens to be my business partner on another project.)

Tee hee.

(Confession - I had a phoned apology once (from a hairdresser) - so i figured your complaint must have been in the 'special' category.)
