I was rather dismayed recently to realise how much I like being single as well, though.

I truly believe you and you even though I have soulmate dh (except when we argue ). I swore that if we break up I'll be a spinster for life.

If that is how you see a relationship with a man, then of course you are not unreasonable.

Its a bit odd and sad however that you do seem to see it in that way. Why should being in a relationship limit you? If it does, surely its not much of a relationship?

unless you mean something quite specific by 'fun social life' which is normally incompatible with a relationship
