On a bus this evening for a 30 minute journey and non-stop the woman behind me was eating sunflower seeds. The constant crack as she popped the shell in her mouth and spat it out (on the bus floor, may I add) drove me up the wall!!!

Could you have moved seats?

YANBU - if you were annoyed cos she was making a noise then you would have been (although I find eating noises unbearable in confined spaces) - but the fact that she was spitting them on the floor is rank.

YANBU! I used to work with a lady who was on a strict diet, so when our daily coffee break came round she would bring out her celery sticks, "CRUNCH CRUNCH CRUNCH" for a good 10 mins, every single afternoon! It drove me (+ the others), potty!

I also had the misfortune recently to share a train carriage with a lady who, on the hour long journey, went through every type of noisy sweet imaginable, (choc eclairs, pear drops, wine gums etc, "SUCK SUCK, CHOMP CHOMP"! The train was packed, otherwise I certainly would have moved!

I'm generally quite a placid person, but one thing guaranteed to annoy me is people eating noisily, especially in confined spaces!
