DH and DS age 8 were eating cereal this morning in kitchen. DS acting like idiot knocks entire bowl of cereal (rice crispies & milk) all over floor (9.00am). DH says to DS (like typical man!) 'don't worry about it - chuck a towel on top of it. You cant do anything about it until it dries out anyway'. WTF? Cereal and towel have remained on floor till now - I have just returned home (it is 2.00pm). AIBU to expect DH or DS to have made SOME effort to clean up mess. I have 4 DC so I have better things to do than to pick soggy cereal off a milk soaked towel. In addition rice crispies have gone all glue like and stuck to the floor FFS. Am a bit irrate.

What powpow said. Your husband is the one that said to leave it, so he can deal with the consequences. Maybe then he'll think twice before giving such advice
