Bought a ticket for a car wash in a Tesco petrol pump last week and when I came to use it, the bloody thing was out of order again!! so I left it to come back another day as the ticket is valid for 14 days. Anyway went back today and the car wash is still not working and as my car is filthy, I decided to get my money back and take the car elsewhere.
The lady at the till was insistent that she did not have to give me the money back as the 14 days were not up. I explained to her that I thought the 14 days were for the customer's convenience (ie. if there is a long queue at the machine and you don't want to wait) not because the blooming machine always breaks down and it gives them time to fix it. In the end and as there was a huge queue forming behind me who were all earwigging, she said that she should not really do it but this time, she would refund me - flipping cheek. I am furious AIBU?? Where is the customer service these days .
