to be shocked that my boss took his sons away for the weekend on Mother's Day

I know, I know , it's none of my business which is why I kept it buttoned all day but...

He's been going through a nasty sounding separation for a while (and don't we all know it) Anyway, last week he was all pleased with himself, as he'd "show her what a good dad he is" and he'd arranged a weekend break in a foreign city with his 2 sons aged 8 & 5. TBH, I'm fed up of hearing about it (not being unsympathetic, just that he's always ranting about her and quite often I find myself wanting to say, yes, but I bet there's another side to that story)

Last week, I though if that's what you want and you've agreed it between you, that's progress and she'll probably enjoy the break, it was only on Sunday I realised he'd taken them away on Mother's Day.

God - sounds like bliss.

But then I kind of see mothering sunday as a day off rather than a day for even more intense quality time with the dcs.

Maybe the best gift she could get on mothers day is knowing that her EX is a good father and cares for his kids?????????????

I think YABU.

We had my DSDs here over the weekend (AKA not with their mother). THey picked some flowers from the garden for their mum (same as I got from my kids) and that was the end of it.

I'm sure she (their mum) had a lovely day knowing that her children were with their dad and enjoyed the flowers at the end of the day!.
