To be revolted by Nando's Disable/Baby Change facilities?

Went to Nando's yesterday, not our local one (which is always very good), but one near the seaside.

Whilst there, DS needed a bum change, so I went to suss the situation out and was told I would have to use the Disabled toilet as the only changing unit they had was located in there. Fair enough I thought, the waitress got the key and opened it for me and I was confronted with can only be described as a toilet bowl full of liquid that looked suspiciously like sick (it didn't smell though so not sure if it was) and a bucket of the same liquid nearby.

The waitress scarpered and I was left needing to change a pooey baby in a room that was just unsanitary - I was heaving the whole time! Needless to say, it was a very quick change and I would have done it in the restaurant itself if it wasn't so busy.

When I complained, I was told they were sorting it but it didn't look like they were. I managed to do what I needed to do, but I can't imagibe what a disabled person would have done if they needed to use that facility.

Anyway, I have decided to write and complain....

you can also add your signature to the 'Changing Places' campaign to provide adequate changing facilities for people with disabilities.
