They are at my ex's all day. He is a bit of a tool and won't let them phone me probably. DP got up and went out at the crack of dawn to watch his son play football, and will be out working the rest of today.

So it's me and the dog. Shall make myself a bacon buttie?

Abso-blummin-loutely. And a cup of tea, and have some chocolate.

BitOfFun · 22/03/2009 10:01

That was meant to be in Chat, btw, I cocked up...but by all means come and tell me I am being unreasonable and stick the boot in

Yes, I think I will...chocolate, tea (which I hardly ever make these days as DP is a Coffee Person) and a big bacon buttie topped up by lashings of MN and a walk on the beach with the dog...I can't complain really! < cheers up >

Right, I have tea (check), ate chocolate before it was even mentioned (check), and have two yummy-looking bacon butties in front of me on WHITE BREAD

I might take a stroll to the shop later for a sausage roll and a fruitshoot

BCNS · 22/03/2009 10:34

I got dd here but have to make the 100 mile journey later to pick up the ds's.

white bread hope you enjoyed.

georgimama · 22/03/2009 10:38

Did you put butter on as well? Did it drip?

Yum yum yum.

BitOfFun · 22/03/2009 10:39

< waves > Good Morning petal! Om nom nom, these butties are goood...

This year is the first year we haven't had dss in, I guess, around 5 years. And that' only because we swapped weekends as DH is on a Church away weekend, supervising students from our Church's Student Ministry Team.
It has generally been her choice NOT to have him because, and I quote "Mother's Day is all about me and I want to do what I want. Which means I don't want [dss] here." I thought that was very
BoF - maybe your ex and DSS's mum should get together - they sound like the perfect couple - both self-absorbed!
Oh and don't forget you are the dog's mummy!!

Just me and DS today - expecting DH back around 2pm. I got a lovely card and photo frame that Ds "made" (with help from his keyworker!!) at nursery!! But that's all I'll be getting.

BitOfFun · 22/03/2009 10:47

Lol, DP's ex was on a cruise last mothers day (another all about me day person), and got pissed off because dss didn't ring her

We could all have it a LOT worse, I guess, I was just feeling a bit wistful...but nothing you lot couldn't jolly me out of

TrillianAstra · 22/03/2009 10:49

Mmm, bacon butties. How old are your children BoF?

It's a silly calendar thing anyway, you can hav 'mother's day' some other day (maybe when all the special heart-shaped chocolate has been put on sale so you can have more) and enjoy a sunny peaceful day today.

BCNS · 22/03/2009 10:50

well I'm having quite a strange day really.. H and I are now seperated ( but living in same house).. and it's the first time he ever has got me flowers for mothers day ( fron dd of course).. all very strange.. and even stranger.. he's of to get petrol so he can mow the lawn.... all very weird.!

psychomum5 · 22/03/2009 10:52

oh YANBU at all (even tho you didn;t mean it here).

but

bacon butties..............MMMMMMMMMM

makes up for it a little surely

BitOfFun · 22/03/2009 11:02

I'm lolling on the sofa now, as prescribed by Dr Reality ...my beautiful girls are 12 and 8, Trillian (oops, you are doctor too ). Excellent point about the chocolate!

Good Morning all you lovely mothers, hope you have a fabulous day!

OP posts:
TrillianAstra · 22/03/2009 11:05

12 is definitely old enough to appreciate that half-price chocolate tastes better, IMHO!

Yes, but I;m not that sort of doctor

AnyMothersDayFucker · 22/03/2009 11:47

< wistful >

A day without the rugrats sounds wonderful.....

DH is working and my two are currently knocking seven shades of shit out of each other, winding the dog up and generally being a pain

But I'd better count my blessings really, hadn't I?

< adjusts halo >

OP posts:
BCNS · 22/03/2009 12:14
