The rules in this house are (or were) I lie in on saturday. DP lie's in on Sunday.

At Christmas the rules seemed to change to I lie in if DDs can all stay in bed past 8:30 - which is a rare event.

So tomorrow is my birthday - so I think that I should have a lie in.
Sunday is mother day so I think that I should have a lie in.

AIBU to expect a couple of lie in's ?

midnightexpress · 20/03/2009 20:31

YANBU at all. We take it in turns. But both BD and MD are definite lie-in days IMO.

happy birthday tomorrow!

SlightlyMadScotland · 20/03/2009 20:33

Yes - I ordered myself an embroidery kit -so a bit dull.

I bought myself a new laptop with my bonus money too.

I suspect there will be other bits I have heard "big bar of chocolate" whispered...but we shall see.

YANBU

Triggles · 22/03/2009 09:53

Well, maybe a bit unreasonable. After all, if you take turns, is it really fair he misses his turn? As far as Christmas schedules are concerned, you have to tackle that when you get that far, I suppose.

SlightlyMadScotland · 22/03/2009 10:03

But if you read my OP - the rules were that we do take it in turns.

Sadly I have only had about 2 turns since Chrsitmas.

Make sure you get an afternoon nap today.

My dh got up with dd at 6.30 and brought me breakfast in bed at 8.20. He's now snoring away up there and he had a lie in yesterday till 10am.

Trinityrhino · 22/03/2009 10:06

yanbu

I would love a lie-in

Triggles · 22/03/2009 10:06

So sorry - I misunderstood - I thought you meant that's what happened over Christmas, as in just over the holidays, not since then. But then, if it's been months, it might have been worth the effort to speak to him about it before now.
