As much as I would miss them...sounds like a good Mother's Day to me lol

Although they won't be there to get you tea and biscuits all day and rub your feet (yeah, cause that would happen!)...you can lie in and watch trashy tv all day

Have a great Mother's Day!!

YANBU

Sounds like bliss

my Ds won't be with me either. He has asked to go for a sleepover at his aunties house insstead!

My sis and mother are mortified that i am not insisting on him being here. It is his choice and one that he made. they were even more shocked when i told them that mothers day was just something invented by the card company to make more money, just like valentines! My ds is 6 BTW.

One year Dh took the kids to his mother's for the day. Sounds awful but a break from them was the best present.

Father's Day is the commercial gimmick invented by the card companies (sorry DHs). Mother's Day derives from Mothering Sunday, which is part of the Christian calendar.
My DH is nipping off to the Far East on business on Friday for a week. So, I've booked an expensive restaurant for me and the kids in his absence from the kitchen!

I am always made to eat breakfast in bed which I hate. It is just to crumbtastic to be enjoyable.

ohdearwhatamess · 19/03/2009 19:13

YANBU at all. Sounds perfect!

dmo · 19/03/2009 19:19

my thoughts too
they can give me cards (if they remember) at teatime.
just need to get rid of dh now he already thinks no boys = bed but a day in bed watching tv sounds bliss
