I work in a village theatre. Only part time thank god. I have been here for just under a year. I think i've done really well picking up everything as there is such a lot to the job. We have reductions on ticket prices for senior citizens, children and students. We are only ever visited by old biddies :D but today, lo and behold, a young lady called wanting to bring herself and 5 fellow students along to view one of our performances so I booked them all on, only to be then told by my deputy manager that there is a limit on 2 students prices per booking. All other students have to pay the full price. WELL, I have never been told this before but the way the deputy looked at me, it could've cracked a mirror if I had been one. Then when my witches co-workers came in (all 4 of them), she proceeded to tell them my mistake while I was sat right there and all of them hoo'd and haa'd like i'd murdered someone. If I had been told this fecking rule in the first place, this would not of happened. I am really pissed at them.

They sound like a bunch of nobs tbh.
YANBU.

So if the six students had booked in three groups of two, they would all have got the student discount? But if they all book together only two get the discount?

Sounds like a ridiculous rule to me. YANBU

not even worth the energy of worrying about reesi, tell them to get a life and explain all the rules if they expect you to follow them correctly.

What a carry on!

Any chance of you getting another job somewhere else?

LOL - typical theatre behaviour - 'It's all so important Darhhhlliinnggg'....

Just ignore them, they will absolutely hate that!!

It's a damn stupid rule anyway and at the moment, getting any bums on seats is a bonus so they should be selling ALL students tickets at student prices - twats!
