O.k I know I am and it is dishonest. It's just that my daughter has a parade at nursery and there is a prize for the best one. I was looking on e-bay for some ideas and found a fantastic bonnet. It's so inventive and so much work has gon in to it. I couldn't make anything as good. I'm thinking about buying it to save having to make one.
What do you think? should I?

Just think how you would feel if she won the prize and you'd bought it. And the message you would be giving her.

I once mde a fabulous top hat style one with all butterflies ,bees and flowers sticking out on pipecleaners with ladybirds and grass as the base it really was lovely but a bought one won .

I can't think why you even want to think of buying one-the fun for the DC comes from the fact that you are spending time with them and making one. It is very easy to do with a girl-having boys we had to have more ingenuity but we still had fun doing it.

We made one today!! It was fun, my daughter chose her flowers and bits to go on it.
It is actually looks very good, if I may say so myself. My daghter wanted to stick the flowers on herself rather than the hat but we got there.
The parade is on friday and she's looking forward to showing off her hat. (bless)

two things spring to mind. 1) good grief do people actually buy these? and 2) OP you would have bought that but were concerned that your DD had no appreciation of less is more?!?!?!?!
