You aren't unreasonable at all my dear!

But it'll pass, don't worry

I have little fleeting moments of broodiness, then I remember that actually in 6 months time I am going to vaguely have my life back...soon brings me back down to earth!

2 really good friends of mine are pregnant, so I am just going to have to borrow theirs.

Anyhoo, not sure what M would say

compo · 11/03/2009 17:22

lol
isn't your youngest about 5 months?!!

psychomum5 · 11/03/2009 17:24

oh, I am sure it will pass, but right now, I WANT ONE.

DH actually did ask her when she was coming home, as then he would know where to find one, to save him the hell of me being pregnant!!!

she has already said tho, that next week, once she is home and settled and her mum has gone back to work, she will no doubt be leaving a small squwarking bundle on the doorstep and running.....................

Get a kitten instead. Or a puppy.

Squirdle · 11/03/2009 17:31

Psycho, my little one s 4 already!! You met him when he was a mere 5 months old!! Where did that go!

psychomum5 · 11/03/2009 17:35

jeez, 4, no, not possible, you hid the real one and got a new grownup version instead!!!

no to puppies or kittens, I am very allergic. and besides, they don;t do that scrummy-scrunchy-bum-curl-stretchy thingy....where is the fun if they don;t so that??

OP posts:
ScorpiowithabigS · 11/03/2009 17:36

at scrunchy bum curl.

and the smell of their fat little neck

curling fingers

those sucky noises at your breast

psychomum5 · 11/03/2009 17:44

and the softness of their heads.

and the way they purse their lips and half open their eyes when they smell someone new.

and that drunk-on-milk look

and

and

and

everything...............

OP posts:
ScorpiowithabigS · 11/03/2009 17:45

and first smile

and the way they can sleep on your chest

and little babygros

and how you have to almost unfold them to get them changed or dressed

ScorpiowithabigS · 11/03/2009 17:46

fuzzy almost not there hair

Squirdle · 11/03/2009 17:49

STOP!!!!!!!

You've done it now! I am going to have to repeat all night 'I do not want a baby...I do not want a baby!'

Squirdle · 11/03/2009 17:50

But it is that scrunched up stretchy thing that get ya

TheOddOne · 11/03/2009 17:50

There is nothing like nuzzling your top lip on a baby's fuzzy head......

But i am glad i'm over that now. Mine get more fun and easier with age.

ScorpiowithabigS · 11/03/2009 17:50

its their little scruched up legs and big padded nappy bum

expatinscotland · 11/03/2009 17:52

My baby is 4 months now.

He's all smiley now. With no teeth. He has big FAT cheeks, podgy legs and a chubby tummy.

I always tell DH, 'Let's eat him!'

ScorpiowithabigS · 11/03/2009 17:52

how could i forget cheeks???

psychomum5 · 11/03/2009 18:44

expat, really, 4mths already......wow!!!

I always said mine were scrummy enough to eat.

of course, now, with the hormones and stuff, I think they would taste slightly bitter.

squirdle, tis definately the scrunched-up-bum-bit

ithinkimtallandblonde · 11/03/2009 19:33

YYou have just made me broody and about four hours ago i had mentally decided on a tummy tuck and then you mentioned the scrunchy bum.

What about the latch on head shake, makes me laugh everytime its just the cutest.

compo · 11/03/2009 19:35

really your youngest is 7?!!!

compo · 11/03/2009 19:36

in that case ya definitely nbu
go on, have another

elkiedee · 11/03/2009 19:40

My mum thinks that my ds1 at 5 months is to blame for my cousin's wife getting broody - her dc4 was born last month, 3 days after my ds2.

I can't advise I'm afraid, mine is only 5 weeks old, emotionally I'm not ready to say "no more" but in every other way it would probably be sensible to do so.

ithinkimtallandblonde · 11/03/2009 19:47

Have just read another thread on taking dc's to school with screaming hungry baby and car prags and its all come flooding back.
YABU go and read the sleep threads and have a cold shower hopefully you'll see the error of your thinking. Dh's don't appreciate any of that new baby stuff its why they are always so rational in baby planning.

snuffyp · 11/03/2009 19:53

I really want a baby! our dd is 4 and my dh loves her to bits but ignores any talk of another which i find really upsetting he does,nt bother replying when i say about it i think its selfish to not consider how i feel. Its the one thing about my dh thats annoys me

expatinscotland · 11/03/2009 20:02

the way they bob their heads back and forth when you hold them up against your shoulder once they can hold their heads up reasonably well.

the way they drool and get ruddy cheeks when they teethe.

the dimpled hands.

the way they curl up their toes when you stroke the soles of their plump, archless feet.

the way they sleep with their fists up by their ears.
