stainesmasif, naughty nipple sounds so wrong.

mylifemykids · 11/03/2009 20:58

I found out I'm pregnant with #3 today. It was a bit of a shock but this thread has just convinced me it's the right thing to do!

Jojay · 11/03/2009 21:01

Congrats MLMK. I'm and DS2 is only 4 months!!

ithinkimtallandblonde · 11/03/2009 21:02

Congratulations my life.

procrastinatingparent · 11/03/2009 21:04

That beautiful newborn smell.
Those velvety soft heads.
The solemn little eyes.

stainesmassif · 11/03/2009 21:06

ititab, sorry!! it made me laugh so much, he would get really cross with the naughty nipple and really tell it off. it's well behaved now.

Divvy · 11/03/2009 21:07

.....then they turn into teenagers!

ShowOfHands · 11/03/2009 21:10

You're all mad. With short memories.

The lack of sleep.

The birth.

Have you all forgotten?

Jojay · 11/03/2009 21:12

Noooooo SOH - DS is only 4 months so I remember it well, but I'm still so broody it's driving me insane

And Dh

Bleatblurt · 11/03/2009 21:12

The birth is easy - I have had all c-sections under GA, then lovely lovely drugs after.

iMum · 11/03/2009 21:14

Oh but the turtle necks all wrinkly and crinkly, the deep eyes that make them look like theyve been here before.
the scrunching their eyes up to stay asleep, when they "drop" off the boob and still suck a bit....

IwishIwasmoreorganised · 11/03/2009 21:17

Oh well ladies, DS2 is 9 months old and I just can't quite get rid of the feeling that he's not going to be our youngest - this thread has just about confirmed that.......

...the dimply bums when you carry them through to the bath, the first giggles, the washing line full of tiny baby clothes, the lovely faces when they first have solids.....

Northernlurker · 11/03/2009 21:22

Well this thtead has demonstrated once again that I am in fact over the baby thing because I've read it and thought 'that's nice' not 'I WANT A BABY'

Considering that dh has been brave and done his bit on the family planning front (permanent steps department) that's a jolly good thing!

Of course my sil has given birth today - making me an aunt I must add, so I still have the new baby gauntlet to run.....after all dd3 isn't 2 yet - she's still a baby

EachPeachPearMum · 11/03/2009 21:22

heheh.. I have one asleep just across the room from me... he's all mine
Oh, his little velvety head is so yummy, and his lovely soft tummy...

I love it when they stretch, and puff up, and stick out their little chests!
He's the last one though....

ToiletRollCover · 11/03/2009 21:38

He'll be home soon.... Hope they can still swim straight..... Get him whilst he doesn't suspect....... The tiny baby yawns and sleepy noises.....No! think of the birth!!!The pain!!!Sleep deprivation!!!

ShowOfHands · 11/03/2009 21:46

I too only this 'that's nice' and don't feel at all broody.

Which is a real problem actually.

psychomum5 · 13/03/2009 21:25

I have been to see her again today, (she is home), and even my DD3 and DS2 want a new baby!!!

she is scrumptious

Chatkins · 13/03/2009 21:34

Jus read this thread - not fair, have been drinking wine and am always extra brroody when drunkish....
Dh will moan and say why do you always talk about havng babies when you've had a few ??

My youngest is 22 mo and I have yet to get him out of babygros simply because I love the feel of him in them, when he is standing up in his cot in the morning, arms outstretched. That feeling when you lift them up and hold you to them, and they rest their head on your shoulder and sort of sigh...he still does that...he is still a baby, he is, he really is...I keep telling dh, he is s baby still!

cikecaka · 13/03/2009 21:38

DD3, no 4 Dc, is 2 and 3 weeks, but I had my tubes tied after her, I have been on a downer since my friend had her DD in Jan and my other friend is due in a couple of weeks, I am so jealous, convince my bad mood is down to really wanting another

Chatkins · 13/03/2009 21:40

O sorry to hear that cikecaka - did you get tubes tied because you didn't want anymore, now you've changed your mind ?

cikecaka · 13/03/2009 21:47

It was recommended after DC3 that I shouldnt have any more as I had 3 sections close together, so took a risk have DC4, so it was decided to tie my tubes this time. i am 38 so maybe it was for the best

Chatkins · 13/03/2009 21:52

o that is a shame, it was out of your hands, so not really your decision IYKWIM ?
Lovely you have 4 though, what age are they ?

cikecaka · 13/03/2009 21:56

DS is 12, DD1 is 10, DD2 is 9 and DD3 is 2. first 3 birthdays are all within 2 days of each other in June. DD3 is Feb

mm22bys · 13/03/2009 21:57

Me too.

YAMDNBU.

Chatkins · 13/03/2009 21:59

Big gap between dd2 and dd3, was that because you thought you were finished and theh changed your mind ? How has that bigger age gap worked out ? Sorry, nosy!
