Now I want a baby.

The way they snuffle as they feed, then look up at you with a huge smile, then carry on snuffling away.................

The way they rub their eyes with their fists, like only babies do............

The way their thumbs tuck inside their fingers when they clench their fists, nad you have to unfold them in the bath to wash their hands.

And don't get me started on their yummy dimply thighs.

Bleatblurt · 11/03/2009 20:21

Chubby thighs

The way the snuggle their heads in under your chin

Seeing your DH with a snoozing baby on his chest

The surprised look on their face when they sneeze

Baby giggles

PinkTulips · 11/03/2009 20:22

have my 4 week old snuggled in my arms right now snuffling and making that cross little sqwauking noise he makes when he's not sure what he wants. he keeps waving his head around with his mouth open like a baby bird because he thinks he's hungry but if he latches on he gets cross and punches my boob.

it's funny, with the other two this stuff used to frustrate me but this time round i'm enjoying it as much as the smiles and snuggles as i know i'm never going to experiance it again.

CarGirl · 11/03/2009 20:23

The way they just pass out after 3 squawks in the car.

The lunging for your boob, or well anything when they're starving.

Giving birth again

sob sob sob I wish I could do it all again.

ToiletRollCover · 11/03/2009 20:24

Right thats it! If I jump DP later when he gets home from the pub all innocent, and find myself retching everytime I move my head in 5/6 weeks time I know where to post ok?

iMum · 11/03/2009 20:24

DO you know what t really is tho, its the excited leg kick when you take their nappy off, the smell (oh my god the smell!) the "I surrender" pose while they sleep, the latching on head shake, the unfolding them to dress them, the little snuffly sounds and lots more but also I always loved (and still do as my little one is only 4 months) is the middle of the night waking when everything is quiet and still and its just you and them in the dim light, it perfect that time.

expatinscotland · 11/03/2009 20:25

when they start to 'talk' and bat their toys.

and kick their legs when you change their nappy.

CarGirl · 11/03/2009 20:26

The first smiles and chortles, how tiny tiny those newborn washable nappies are......

expatinscotland · 11/03/2009 20:27

tummy time.

the first time they roll over and look so surprised.

oregonianabroad · 11/03/2009 20:28

The huge round eyes the first time they see something that fascinates them, like their own reflection.

When they are so deeply asleep you can do loads of jobs in their bedroom and their conked out throughout.

When they struggle to open their eyes because they're still soooooooooo tired.

When they learn to really kick in the bath because they like it.

iMum · 11/03/2009 20:35

Oh oh oh! when latch onto a passing nose! and they know when held in the milk cuddle that itsacomin and turn their heads mouth open in anticipation.
or when they first start to blow raspberries! oh and when they have a huge nappy rumble look all surprised at what just occurred!

Jojay · 11/03/2009 20:37

The little frown lines they get, when they look like they're really concentrating on staying asleep.

When they're swaddled, all bundled up tight with just their head poking out.

Crazy, sticky up baby hair with funny bald patches

iMum · 11/03/2009 20:38

always popping those tiny mits back on and having to trim teeny tiny nails

stainesmassif · 11/03/2009 20:44

i thought i was going mad - our ds is 12 weeks and i can't wait to have more - i seem to forget that i've actually got one right now - but i already miss the froggy sleepy baby on my chest and the arguments he'd have with my naughty nipple when it wasn't moving about as much as his head was.

compo · 11/03/2009 20:46

this thread is baaaaaaaaaaaad
all my friends are having babies / or are preggers atm
it is not good!

ScorpiowithabigS · 11/03/2009 20:51

ahhh the lunging head at anything incase it may be a nipple

chubby knees

and toes that look like fingers

and fat necks and cheeks

tiny tiny ears

Bleatblurt · 11/03/2009 20:53

When they cry when a friend/relative is holding them but the second you take them back they stop.

TrillianAstra · 11/03/2009 20:57

DP is right here and asking what I'm reading, so I'd just like to say:

I don't want a baby.

Your magic does not work on me.

So there.
