Went to friends house for his tea, came home saying he'd played on GTA4, Saints Row and Left 4 Dead.

He's 8. Do I mention it to his parents or just make a mental note not to let him go there again?

He's not BEGGING me to buy him GTA

It is out of order but I doubt you will get far if they have decided to allow their child to play them. Any mention would probably come across as a criticism of their parenting.

I would just try to ensure he doesn't go again or that the friend plays at your house if you are happy for it to be non-reciprocal.

It's awful isn't it. If you do feel the need to mention it maybe say laughingly ' ds is a one, he said he'd been playing - etc... at your house I don't know where he gets his imagination from?' Or something like that.

I wouldn't let him go again if it was my ds. DS1 is 11 and one of his friend's plays his dad's 18 games but luckily he lives quite far. DS1 says he wouldn't want to play them anyway, not his type.

Could he be exaggerating?
Six-year-old DS1 had a friend round this week and he later told his dad that all they did was play Mario Kart on the Wii.
Now I was there and they played on the Wii for half an hour out of the 2.5 hours friend was here.

My God why did his parents buy these in the first place. my lil bro who is 12 soon plays it, he loves it but luckily he has come out of that 'violent little boy' stage and sees it purely as a game. But NOT for an 8 yr old.

You should say to the boys parents that if he is to be invited to 'tea' then you are not happy with him playing the games.

I know I would say something. I know it may seem like you critisising thier parenting but what kind of parent lets thier little lad play these vile, blood spilling games?

Com on now an 8 yr old should not be watching 'how to get a prostitute, pay her, sshag her then kill her'.
