I know how you feel. I was a BIG fan of creepy horrors (esp Japanese ones) before xh and I split up, now I cant even read the monsters thread cos I know I will be scared at night alone!!

SerendipitousHarlot · 03/03/2009 21:52

When I watched the Grudge with dh for the first time, I made him come to the loo with me and sit on the floor next to me until I'd finished

Don't read it!

Run up, pee, run down and read Pride and Prejudice.

Do you think the dog would come with me ?

lol!

I'm like this, in all fairness, so don't know why this has tickled me. I suppose it's nice to know I am not the only grown woman who is scared of my own shadow when alone in the house.

The wind is horrid, too, isn't it? My DH is away for the week so am home alone with the kids and hate the nights.

Kerry don't I am already doing that stupid run and jump thing into bed since starting the bloody book .

It wasn't this scary when I was a teenager.

Check out the Tim Curry mini series. Bound to be clips on youtube. You will be inoculated against fear of IT.

(I once threw a massive tantrum when dh buggered off to bed halfway through watching 'Dawn of the Dead'. I feel your pain! )

ToiletRollCover · 03/03/2009 22:00

I wish I'd never read or posted on the scary thread now! Don't want to go up the stairs either!!

Guadalupe · 03/03/2009 22:01

Give it away then. I read a lot of horror as a teen, couldn't read it now though.

ComeWhineWithMe · 03/03/2009 22:02
