I booked an eye appt last week and ,my own fault due to dd monster poo,I got to the appt 10 mins late,so they couldn't do appt.Fair enough,so I rebooked for this afternoon.I have a very small amount of free time on a Tuesday,my only time for me during the week. From 1 pm when dd goes to nursery to 3ish when I have to start school run to pick ds up from school.

So I booked eye test for 1.50 this pm arrived 5 mins early.Name taken, shown through to waiting room.40 mins later getting as bit annoyed go and ask receptionist out front.Who checks computer and sees no sign of me there despite me having a card with the date/time written on it,and having given my name to different receptionist on arrival.

sO THEN WAIT ANOTHER 10 MINS having been told optometrist "Will see you soon"

No sign.So in the end I left as I had to pick up ds.The receptionist had the audacity to ask if I wanted to make another appointment like THAT'S likely!!!

A wasted afternoon and still no eye test boo hoo!

they should have picked up on the fact you weren't on their system when you arrived. That would still have been annoying, but at least you wouldn't have wasted the best part of an hour. So that was two errors on their part. It's frustrating, but other than just taking your custom elsewhere there isn't much you can do.

Write to them, I bet they'll send you a voucher of some sort. Maybe.

I love writing cold, calculated complaint letters!

What a total PITA though, at least it wasn't a sunny day.
