Just an empty egg. I am not happy.

YANBU! How disappointing.

laundrygoblin · 02/03/2009 17:49

They played a yolk on you.

Threadworm · 02/03/2009 17:49

Sometimes you get an unfertilised one. The kinder cockeral must have been shooting blanks that day.

DottyDot · 02/03/2009 17:49

Outrageous! I'd write and complain - you never know, you might get a truck load by way of compensation!

HecatesTwopenceworth · 02/03/2009 17:49

Oh no, laundry, no no no no no

TDWP - a kinder egg? really? you nutter

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 02/03/2009 17:50

Really, I buy them and hide them from the kids. They are wonderful.

Oh complain, I got dream eggs (I think) with no filling complained and got a £5 voucher

dh was miffed he wanted a box sent as compensation

paddingtonbear1 · 02/03/2009 17:55

I used to love those. Now I still buy them for dd me
Never had one with no toy in it though! Can you write and complain? You might get a month's supply!

thegrowlygus · 02/03/2009 17:58

OMG no toy? I would be FUMING.

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 02/03/2009 18:00

almost as gutting is when you get the toys that need no assembly/ careful application of stickers.

paddingtonbear1 · 02/03/2009 18:03

dd got a small shark in one of hers recently. It gets used in the bath!

ThatShittySmell · 02/03/2009 18:04

Always shake them first

CharleeInChains · 02/03/2009 18:05

OMG that is disgusting!

No toy in your Kinder Egg?! I am shocked and outraged and i have totally lost faith in the confectionary industry.

wotulookinat · 02/03/2009 18:05

complain. That would be enough to traumatise a child (or me) for life.

SoupDragon · 02/03/2009 18:08

If you write and complain, I would say that your small child was devastated and in floods of tears. do not say it was you.

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 02/03/2009 21:45

you think?

OP posts:
Trinityrhino · 02/03/2009 21:47

oh totally complain and say it was your small child who 'just can't understand why she didn't get her toy'

ohhh yummy, free kinder eggs

Twims · 02/03/2009 21:49

Yep totally complain - or at least make them aware of the situation.

Longtalljosie · 02/03/2009 21:49

To be fair though - they promised you a surprise. No toy actually is surprising!

random · 02/03/2009 21:51

I would be glad ...I can never put the bloody toys together

poorbuthappy · 02/03/2009 21:51

I would cry and so would dd...

steviesgirl · 02/03/2009 22:00

Poor you. Sometimes it's the simple things in life that make us happy, I know.

I know it's a recession but that's just bloody ridiculous! A kinder egg with no toy? What's the world coming to?

Seriously though, that would be enough to devastate some kids.
