making the bed
writing that 2000 word essay
or that 10 mins powerpoint presentation

No

I've been fannying around all morning.

So far DS has drunk 5 cans of dr pepper
DD has taken all the alphabet magnets from the fridge and prit sticked them all over my saturday paper.

I took a load of laundry out at 8am and it's still sitting waiting to be hung.

I've just given them some pittas cheese spread and tomatoes to make thir own lunch.

I'm having a 'fail' day.

twinsetandpearls · 28/02/2009 13:29

My list is:
clean the fish tank
get dressed!
take dd to a party
write 100+ reports
mark 150 exam papers ( which are 4 essay style questions each)
plan lessons for next week
mark 10 pieces of coursework
organise my dressing room
make a spreadsheet and analyse my tutor group's exam results
walk the dog
book a haircut
do some research/ reading up for my lesson
the garden

No wonder I am too scared tp get off the sofa.

twinsetandpearls · 28/02/2009 13:30

Oh and dp and I had planned to have rampant wild sex while dd is at a party.

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 28/02/2009 13:31

You have a dressing room

I just have wardrobes that cover more floorspace than my bed.

DontlookatmeImshy · 28/02/2009 13:32

It's Saturday. Forget about everything else.

Just don't do what i did and leave dc(3yrs) in the kitchen with lots of paint and sit in another room mn'ing thinking how wonderful it is that he's leaving you in peace and playing nice and quietly.

twinsetandpearls · 28/02/2009 13:32

It is our box room that has wardrobes down one wall. Not that much to be jealous about really, especially when it is a shit tip like it is at the moment

twinsetandpearls · 28/02/2009 13:33

I would love to forget about everthing else, not an option though.

BCNS · 28/02/2009 13:34

don't worry about it.. tis saturday!!

I've done a few bits but keep getting interrupted by dcs.

MaureenMLove · 28/02/2009 13:40

I'm here! Only got about 10 mins though. I am watching DH prepare lunch for me and then, well who knows, DD is out.....

I actually haven't got that much to do. My house doesn't get that untidy, since I only have a 13 year old, so we are all out every day during the week. Sunday is ironing day, so as long as I've managed to get the 2 loads of washing done, by teatime, we are still on task!

Love the fact that DD has stuck alphabet letters al over your paper DWP!

Fairynufff · 28/02/2009 13:52

YABU. Just like me

My excuse is that when I'm on the computer I can't actually see the housework and therefore it does not exist...

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 28/02/2009 13:53

I didn't mind, she did it quite artfully too, may give Charles saaci a ring later

Have the fun with you Dh!

purepurple · 28/02/2009 14:00

done dishwasher
eating lunch
have done 1 load of washing
hoovered downstairs, well kitchen anyway

got dressed about midday

DH has been at work since 7, so have positioned hoover in living room, to give the illusion of busy-ness for when he comes in, in a minute

BCNS · 28/02/2009 15:00

ahh .. I'm now sat here contemplating the tumble dryer whilst listening to all 3 dc's playing rock band

I need to get up and do stuff grrrrrrrrrrr

Annabel1 · 28/02/2009 15:07

not the kind of thread I need to read when I too have a list as long as your arm. dd asleep ds asleep dh at shops. I have cup of tea. Have tried being perfect housewife - can't do it and lose all sense of perspective so must remember that this is very useful activity - add to list, cross off list. Will not add the rampant sex to list - just another uncompleted task to feel guilty about!

twinsetandpearls · 28/02/2009 17:23

right have done the rampant sex and had a haircut ( after the sex so that it did not mess up the do) the reports are still waiting

twoluvlykids · 28/02/2009 17:29

rampant sex during the day!!

how lucky are you.

I can't get my dc's to leave the house at the moment.

twinsetandpearls · 28/02/2009 17:31

We enocourage dd to leave the house at any opportunity! She has horseriding, sleepovers and now dancing and drama.
