and im dying to open it!. she's not here- she's at school, its just me the twins and the ENVELOPE!....... its calling me... its shouting now " for fecks sake open me!". this is wrong isnt it? should i open it "by mistake" just to see what it is?

Well frankly that's a conversation that can be had as well. To admit you're nosy and then ask permission to indulge. If the kid concerned couldn't care less that's OK (frankly it wouldn't have bothered me at 13). If they make a fuss, then you know where you stand. However if you open their post out of nosiness, then you probably have to be prepared for this to be reciprocated ...
