...to think that a cinema that styles itself 'arty' could keep Milk on for more than 5 minutes?

I've been to the cinema twice since having DS, who is now 1. Was really looking forward to seeing Milk, had arranged an escape this weekend, set up DH with milk (ha) for DS in my absence, etc...and the fecking cinema takes it off tomorrow, after about 4 showings! It got 3 Oscars, ffs. And this in a cinema that likes to think it's 'arty'. Pah.

Yanbu at all though.

We live in such a backward lovely rural area that they only get the shitty blockbusters. We have to go up to Glasgow for owt decent. [cultural snob emoticon]

The other cinema in the area is a Vue, and they don't even screen this sort of stuff in the first place!

It's a bugger, that's all. Nothing big in the grand scheme of things, just something I was looking forward to.

Can we have a cultural snob icon, then? It'd be handy.

Thank you frosty!

Yes, I think a cultural snob emoticon would be very useful on here.

We have the opposite problem here to be honest. Our local cinema had 1 film on for over TWO YEARS!!! It was the film "As It Is In Heaven" and every week, the listings would come through and DH would roll his eyes as I growled as he knew that it meant that ruddy film was STILL on!

Fortunately it wasn't the only film they were showing but they do seem to have a habit at this cinema for showing the arty-farty dirges for a smidge longer than necessary.
