I mean AnyF*er

I hate it and can't imagine why anyone would choose a word so horrible as their username...

AIBU or do others agree ?

bellavita · 22/02/2009 18:39

Well said NorthernLurker about the apology!

I did actually post on another thread with my other name

onlinemummy · 22/02/2009 18:39

It seems the consensus is that having mummy in the title is more offensive than fucker

I like it, I can somehow be offensive, whilst still sounding somewhat twee! was going to change it but now will keep my name

Marthasmama · 22/02/2009 18:41

My DH thinks you're all wonderful. He loves a good swear and thought that many of your posts were hilarious. I agree, must do this more often. I am a SAHM these days and miss my terribly sweary beloved colleague.

thumbwitch · 22/02/2009 18:41

I was going to join but it seems to have died down a bit now - and Thumbfucker sounded a bit, I don't know, odd

scrooged · 22/02/2009 18:41

I hate it when people have mum/mummy in their name. It's only because I get them all confused! I'm thick you see!

Look past the name and see the MNter beneith, that's what I say

FairLadyRantALot · 22/02/2009 18:42

lol bella, I did on one thread, but it was o.k. on that one because I was inbetween friends...but on the other one it would have been wrong...

lol...maybe mummy could be code for fucker

Marthasmama · 22/02/2009 18:43

That would mean I had an EXCELLENT name!

FairLadyRantALot · 22/02/2009 18:43

..I could be FairMummyRantALot...

differentID · 22/02/2009 18:43

thumbwitch- I always suspected you were a kinky bugger

ScottishMummy · 22/02/2009 18:44

code,like scottishmumy=scottishfucker.secret handshakes,wee furtive nods,funny walk

nae change there then

FairyCuntChops · 22/02/2009 18:44

'bunting and cupcakes' - was that deliberate malapropism?!

I was more offended by the split infinitive in the thread title than any of the swearing.

Think I shall remain FairyCC so I don't completely lose the new, foul-mouthed-and-proud-of-it me.

scrooged · 22/02/2009 18:44

It's just sooo confusing. There's too many 'mums' etc here.

Love ya though

thumbwitch · 22/02/2009 18:45

lol diff!
I quite like the idea of "mummy" being MN code for fucker...

AnyFucker · 22/02/2009 18:46

no need for apologies

we all had a good larf about it

I can understand why some of you are changing back to your usual

its just this is my usual

I have seen lemonstartree post on at least one other thread, and she seems a nice person, would be a pity to frighten her off

FairLadyRantALot · 22/02/2009 18:46

...yup scottish...now go and wash your filthy mouth out for having a sweary id

MitchyInge · 22/02/2009 18:48

back to normal

sigh

although I cherish the moment this appeared on my screen in red letters:

"The chat nickname you requested (MitchyFuckingIngeAfterDepravedNightOfDVDA) cannot be used. Nicknames can consist only of letters and numbers and must be between two and 30 characters long."

AnyFucker · 22/02/2009 18:49

normal ? MitchyInge

Qally · 22/02/2009 18:50

I think it's a lot more offensive to single out an individual poster and start a thread about how tasteless you find their username.

PeachyMeBananaYou · 22/02/2009 18:57

'toiletrollfucker sounds like a lonely man on a saturday night'

Fabulous.Thank you for that laugh

I was almost PeachyFuckerIsAVegephile but was worried people might post things about cucumbers and ruin my reputatio9n

FairLadyRantALot · 22/02/2009 19:00

rogfl peachy

chegirl · 22/02/2009 19:02

One of the things I like most about mumsnet is that you CAN swear your fucking head off and it doesnt get **

I do understand that a lot of people are offended by swearing. I dont like people doing it in front of my kids for e.g. But I find it a release. I am quite an angry person underneath my calm exteriour (see my AIBU thread to see why if you are interested). I find swearing a wonderful way of expressing just how crap life can be.

I am particularly fond of that stroppy madam Lily Allen for this reason. How I love to turn her her CD up to full blast and drive my car singing 'what the fuck do you know, who the fuck are you doh?' v.loudly.

AnyFucker appears to be a nice person and nice people need to swear sometimes.

Fuck happens to be my favourite word. And me a Christian and all

So sorry yes yabu. IMO.

LucyEllensmummy · 22/02/2009 19:35

This has to be the most outrageously childish thread i have ever read!! All changing your names into those BAD words

I LOVE IT!

FairLadyRantALot · 22/02/2009 19:38

Blush Grin

AnyFucker · 22/02/2009 19:48

thanks for coming over chegirl

I don't swear in front of my kids (well, ok, the odd "bloody" might slip out.....)

and although I am not a Christian, I am one hell of a good friend

so nerrrrr

jeminthecity · 22/02/2009 19:50

I just met a 'fist fuck my mitchy inge' or similar, which is a VERY naughty name!.

I don't really find it offensive though. I don't find any of your names offensive.
