misdee · 19/02/2009 22:08

lol.

sounds a great plan to me!!

MaureenMLove · 19/02/2009 22:09

Haven't we been through this?

YeahBut · 19/02/2009 22:10

If it means cups of dishwater tea get replaced by glasses of vino, absolutely!

oldladygarden · 19/02/2009 22:11

Yes, it would be far better.

UnquietDad · 19/02/2009 22:12

Don't you have these? Aren't they called book groups?

callmeovercautious · 19/02/2009 22:13

I believe they call it "Mums night out". I go on one at least once a month

fryalot · 19/02/2009 22:14

oh god, i would LOVE it if I didn't have to take the kids to toddler group.

But knowing my luck, I'd get stuck with the one mum who rants a lot about nothing in particular and I wouldn't even have the little buggers darlings to rescue me by covering themselves in paint or something.

LoveaDAISYcal · 19/02/2009 22:15

omg squonk, that mum is me

deste · 19/02/2009 22:16

Well I get where you are coming from. I used to work in a college and we always said the job would be fantastic if we had no students.

mshadowsisfab · 19/02/2009 22:19

imagine soft play with ....no kids

OP posts:
fryalot · 19/02/2009 22:20

daisy - you were so un-ranty at the yorkshire picnic. That mum is not you

soft play without kids, now... that would be fanbloodytastic!

Can we make sure there is a trampoline at this mythical kid-less soft play centre as well?

mshadowsisfab · 19/02/2009 22:21

Oh yes and ban kids from paddling pools in the summer

OP posts:
muggglewump · 19/02/2009 22:22

Ahh yes mshadowisfab but then there'd be wine, overexcited Mums, no pelvic floors meaning there'd still be wee in the ball pool

SimpleAsABC · 19/02/2009 22:24

YABVU.

Of course..............

LoveaDAISYcal · 19/02/2009 22:25

lol squonk, only cos i was out of my comfort zone

soft play without kids is fab. We were last in at a centre when my sis had a party for her DS. Everyone else had gone home and we were gathering up presents etc and we had a go as it was only us and our kids left. Great fun

I was following DD around in the Trafford Centre the other week as well....great slides there

although i'm a wee bit too....er....portly to go through the rollers

hunkermunker · 19/02/2009 22:26

Isn't this a thread about a thread and a sneery-ish one at that?

fryalot · 19/02/2009 22:30

nah, hunker, it's just 2shoes being a bit daft.

That's allowed.

It's fun, not sneery.

2shoes is not a sneery person, I'm sure that the OP of the other thread would see the amusing side of this one.

It strikes me as more of an "inspired by" thread

hunkermunker · 19/02/2009 22:41

Didn't know the OP was 2shoes - not sure how I should've done really, either!

FairLadyRantALot · 19/02/2009 22:58

lol

fledtoscotland · 19/02/2009 23:01

if you want to sit round in a circle singing nursery rhymes without children for fun, go ahead

without DC i wouldnt choose to go to a toddler group. i would head for town for retail/caffine therapy

cheesesarnie · 19/02/2009 23:02

bliss

i get oh so jealous of meet ups so hush
