My friend invited me to a group about Jade goody and yes she can be annoying but no one deserves to have cancer or to die.

Has everyones compassion gone one guy put he has got the jade goody 2009 calender it only goes up to march I felt sick reading the comments I can't post the link but the group is called

jade goody is a loathsome whore. Her innards should be fed to the wolves.

Please go there and report the group hopefully it will be deleted.

I agree that it's vile but then - so is much of the internet. I think you have to learn to accept (or tolerate) various wacko's. I think mostly people do it for attention and to get a reaction. These people get off on being told they are sick and inappropriate, their lives are so sad and empty they need the validation and disapproval of others.

So I'd just ignore it as much as possible and try not to let the warped opinions of a very small minority upset yo.

smartiejake · 16/02/2009 15:22

I have also complained. I am not a fan of Jade but this is just beyond depraved and sick.

Groups like this are the main reason I will have absolutely nothing to do with face book. (Only became a member to complain about the last sicko who was having a pop at downs syndrome people.)

babalon · 16/02/2009 15:26

Reported it too,

Some people are truely evil

Do you think they have heard of Karma?

wotulookinat · 16/02/2009 15:38

Utterly disgusting. I hope she doesn't see it.
I have reported it too.

snuffyp · 16/02/2009 15:39

wotulookinat · 16/02/2009 15:42

Well said, snuffyp.

Pingping · 16/02/2009 16:02

Thats what I mean Snuffy regardless of what she is known for she is not a bad person and does not deserve to die there is some real sick groups about her I wish Facebook would take some action as its so uncalled for especially with the circumstances.

Have reported it as well. Obviously not taking much notice of us if after 4 hrs of people reporting it, it is still there.

Kimi · 16/02/2009 16:39

I have reported it, and told everyone else on my face book to do the same.

ShannaraTiger · 16/02/2009 16:44

Have reported it, couldn't face reading the comments though.

nannyL · 16/02/2009 16:53

YANBU

that is disgusting

sayithowitis · 16/02/2009 16:57

I have never liked the girl and tbh, never could understand how and why she became such a celebrity, HOWEVER, that aside, I really don't get where these people are coming from. It's not like she was Adolf Hitler. She hasn't, as far a I know, caused anyone any real lasting pain or damage by acting in a malicious fashion. I do feel so sad for her and the situation she is in. I hope she achieves whatever she wants to achieve for her boys and that she can at least rest easy, knowing that at least financially, she will have done all she could for them. It will be so hard for them all over the coming months, and for the boys, for many more months and years to come. It is bad enough that your parent isn't around when you are an adult, but it is going to be so hard for those little boys at Christmas and on their birthdays when all their frioends are doing stuff with their mummies. Whatever we may think of her, she is a human being about to embark on the most difficult journey anyone ever has to and she deserves our sensitivity at the very least.

plj · 16/02/2009 17:12

Have reported. It's disgusting to 'celebrate' her dying. I just don't get it. Why do Facebook even allow these groups to start in the first place. Are they not monitored when they are first set up?

Kimi · 16/02/2009 17:20

My cousin was not much older then Jade when she died leaving two young children.
If any of these stupid, vile, evil people had any first hand experience of what that girl and her family are going through they would not think it funny.

I hope it never happens to their, sisters, wives, mothers, them...although on the other hand maybe it should then see how funny they find it

Kimi · 16/02/2009 17:20

She had the Same cancer as well

wannaBe · 16/02/2009 17:46

"Obviously not taking much notice of us if after 4 hrs of people reporting it, it is still there." But thing is, facebook have something like 600 million users, and they have probably had at most a hundred reports of this group, and there are probably hundreds of thousands of groups being reported at the same time.

If you consider that on mn it often takes a couple of hours to get a post looked into, and mn has only 50000 members, then you do need to consider that facebook that has hundreds of millions of members cannot be expected to respond to each report instantly.

Have no idea why anyone would want to start a group like that tbh, or why anyone would want to join one or be seen to be joining one. I can only imagine they are the same kind of morons that send death threats to soap stars because of their part in a storyline or to footballers who let a goal in during the cup final.

Equally I don't really understand the support groups either. I can understand people having a discussion about it because it's in the news, and because it may have led them to go for a long overdue smeer, or because they can relate in some way if a family member/friend has been through similar, but these "let's support Jade Goody" or "wishing Jade Goody strength" (which is one I saw the other day) groups just seem like people trying to get in on the action as it were. People seem to have this need to show how upset they are over a situation which actually, they are not a part of, Jade isn't going to be joining facebook to see these groups is she, the people on them are not friends of her's, so why do they have to involve themselves? It's like competitive grieving and tbh it makes me just as uncomfortable as the negative hate groups.

Notalone · 16/02/2009 17:52

I have reported it too. words cannot describe how sick these fucks are (and I rarely swear on MN so it must be bad)

ADealingMummy · 16/02/2009 17:59

Hi,

I've reported it too. There are some really sick people out there.

MrsMattie · 16/02/2009 18:00

There are some really nasty bastards in this world, aren't there? Have reported it.

BananaSkin · 16/02/2009 18:14

I think there may be an element of jealousy. People are jealous that someone who was born with so little and had so few positive role models, still managed to end up with more cash than them.

Sick sick sick.

auntyspan · 16/02/2009 18:14

Sometimes I'm actually ashamed to be human. How people can be so cruel is beyond me.

snuffyp · 16/02/2009 18:32

I don,t know how someones death is funny?!? is funny 2 small children who are gonna lose there mummy? do these sickos find it funny those poor boys won,t even understand mummys gone forever? each day asking for her maybe when these immature arseholes become parents one day then they might then begin to understand how it must be ripping out that girls heart to know she won,t be there for her kids i saw a comment from someone who said now you just need Kerry Katona dead and life will be great! charming

Kimi · 16/02/2009 18:47

Wannabe, I don't really see people saying they wish her well as being any different from people on here offering support and good wishes to other posters. after all for the most part it is just a name on a screen.

This poor woman has enough to deal with without having hate web sites set up by a bunch of sick strangers that she may see, but maybe if she sees other strangers reaching out and saying, hang in there, we wish you well, we are sorry you are going through this it might help.

DollyMessiter · 16/02/2009 18:51

FB won't do anything about it.
They simply don't care.

It takes them weeks to delete racist and sexist groups.

This one will give them lots of free publicity.
The best way to deal with it is to delete your FB registration and stop reading - lots of the sick bastards who comment on these things get a real kick from knowing that it is upsetting people.
