I have noticed that several MNers use MN at work.

Does it not severly restrict your performance and productivity?

Or maybe I should say does not work severly inhibit your MNing enjoyment?

Seriously, where I last worked, all non-boring websites were blocked.

We're only blocked from smut and games....

I can't get on threads with fuck or sex or similar words in the title (I work in a school) which does sometimes limit my MNing.

afaik, I can get on threads which have those words in the posts - but if I don't come back on this thread till the evening, you'll know I was wrong about that.....

RustyBear · 02/02/2009 12:35

No, no problem, only if it's in the title.

Actually work probably should restrict my MNing a teensy bit more than it does . I try to just come on at lunchtime, but quite often I'm working on something where I just have to wait for a few minutes for it to happen (I work in IT), so I just pop on for a look....

MrsSeanBean · 02/02/2009 12:39

Don't you have to be really furtive though RustyBear? I'm amazed employers don't know about allow access to something so engrossing!

Well I do try to come on only at break or lunchtime, but as I'm the ICT manager I'm always on websites for work & there isn't anyone whose job it is to check up on me!

I only found MN in the first place because the head asked me to find out what other schools did about parents' parking - when I googled I found a thread about double parking which got rather heated, and I got hooked. So it's her own fault anyway....
