To Expect DH To Shut The Hell Up

Does it only happen to me or is it a common trait of the male species?
No matter how long my dh spends on the pc, (and it can be hours) I dont try and speak or interrupt him, I let him enjoy his pc time.

When it comes to me going on pc he talks more to me then than at any other time. He even remembers things he wants to show me on the computer (note, this is never when he is actually using it, just when I am)

Now, is it just him that does this or do all men?

we have 2 pcs so it helps,

but i agree,

if i am watching tv/seeing to baby/chatting on phone nothing,

but as soon as i sit at the computer dp has suddenly lots to say to me

bran · 26/01/2009 22:54

DH generally says "I'll need to use your computer in a minute to print something" as a plonk my bum down on the computer chair. He never talks to me though, he's always working.

Hassled · 26/01/2009 22:55

Yup, I have this. DH's theories on Life, The Universe and Everything are never said better (or for longer) than when I'm on my laptop.

SheSellsSeashellsByTheSeashore · 26/01/2009 23:05

Yes my DH does this and then gets annoyed when I am distracted while he is yapping at me. Oh and I also get "google this" "go on B and q and look at this paint" "check if so and so has emailed me"

MyNameIsInigoMontoya · 26/01/2009 23:46

I get that too, and also when I'm (very rarely) trying to watch something I like on the telly for once!
