I went for a lesiurely stroll in my lunch hour, i work in a fairly nice area, it is a business park, and i was astounded by the amount of butt ends just strewn everywhere you walk

I walked past a couple of women smoking, one disgarded her half smoked fag end onto the pavement, still lit, she was too bone idle to stump it our first

AIBU to think people who throw their lit fag ends in the street are as bad as dog owners who dont pick up their shit?

Why cant you stump them out and put them in the bin?

I smoke and I never throw my ends on the ground I always put them out either in the designated ashtrays on bins/walls etc or I stub it out on the ground and put it in the bin, when I know it's totally out obviously but if you stub and drag it up the pavement or a wall it rips the tip off anyway so haven't set a fire yet

When I was around 17 I was stood outside having a cigarette on the high street and I walked maybe 10 meters to the nearest bin to put my butt end in and an elderly woman came up to me and said she was expecting to tell me off for dropping it on the floor but wanted to say instead what a nice person I must be for not doing it!

Bit that she was watching me for so long really!
