Not good when pregnant and suffering from morning sickness.

Pretty gross for anyone to look at!

MNHQ get rid of it or I'm off.

You can turn off the pictures and thereby the ads by going to Tools, Internet Options, Advanced, scrolling down and 'un-ticking' display pictures.

Picante · 23/01/2009 18:13

How do I do that on a mac? Surely I'd have to keep turning it on and off?

OP posts:
Habbibu · 23/01/2009 18:13

What is it an advert for?

mrsseanbean · 23/01/2009 18:16

Sorry Picante, don't know about Macs [philistine emoticon] Do you use Internet Explorer on your Mac? Most other browsers will have the same option I would imagine.

You would have to turn pictures back on if you wanted to view a picture.

PlainOldPeachy · 23/01/2009 18:23

Its a heart- I can understand if you have MS (having had HG several times) but why it would bother anyone else I'm not sure....

IAmTheNewQueenOfMN · 23/01/2009 18:25

where??
I cant see a heart
just silly sweaty betty ads

Habbibu · 23/01/2009 18:26

Don't think hearts are particularly gross, tbh.

mrsseanbean · 23/01/2009 18:30

I saw the heart earlier. It was a bit graphic. I don't think it was a healthy heart.
It was an ad for the British Heart Foundation, but not a particularly coherent one IMHO.

squeaver · 23/01/2009 18:31

Picante - do you use Firefox? It's great for blocking ads.

Furball · 24/01/2009 06:55

I showed ds (7) it and explained to him what it was doing, he was very interested.

I didn't mind the heart, reminded me of Misdee (a MNer) and Peter - (Peter underwent a heart translplant)

foxytocin · 24/01/2009 07:06

Oh the joys of adblock. Plus MN loads faster.

Habbibu · 24/01/2009 14:30

Very true, Furball - would be pretty inappropriate and unsympathetic of MN to block a BHF advert after all that misdee and peter went through. Morning sickness can be unpleasant, yes, but it's not quite in the same league as heart failure.

misdee · 24/01/2009 19:26

bye then!

lisad123 · 24/01/2009 19:40

its a normal body part, just dont look. Hardly an ad to freak out, its for a good cause! hmmm morning sickness vs people dying!

hunkermunker · 24/01/2009 19:41

Oh, come on now.

Have a heart.

lisad123 · 24/01/2009 19:42

lol hunker!!

misdee · 24/01/2009 19:49

lisad123 · 24/01/2009 19:55
