I advertising on my local freecycle web site for a realiable telephone engineer (my extension boxes have never worked) and had an email of a guy who said he was ex bt, and was local, and could sort out me extentions, no problem.

He turned up to the house last Saturday (my birthday) seemed very nice, very chatty. Was there about an hour, said the extentions had been wired up wrong. He went round and fixed them all (or so I thought)

He said they were all working fix (stupid me, didn't check, as a didnt have a spare phone, and I trusted him . He charged me £40.00 (my birthday money from my Mum), wished me a happy birthday and left. I immediately checked the phone, and it was dead!

Called him straight away, phone switched off! Eventually got in touch with him on monday morning, he was full of apologies, and said he must have pinched one of the cables when he put the box back on, and would be over that evening. He didn't show, so called the next day, he was stuck in traffic, but would definately be there in the evening. NO SHOW!!! tried contacting all week, phone switched off!

Finally last night rang him, he answered but pretended to be someone else, putting on a geordie accent, and saying that the guy I was trying to contact was busy!!!

What can I do, need some revenge!!!

Put a warning on free cycle - that not only is he not free he doesn't actually do the job and then turns his phone off.

Or at least contact the moderator so they can upload a warning message for others to beware

All you can really do is report him to freecycle to stop him doing it to anyone else .
What an utter twat (him not you obv).

Send him round to all the peoples houses you dont like with bogus jobs to do, wasting his time and petrol and pissing off the people you dont like. Two birds with one stone

A shop keeper in town went bankrup owing a fair amount of money (one to a builder) then the same shop keeper open up agian in town under his wifes name.

One day when he went to open the door of his new shop - the locks were all stuck togeth and he couldn't get in.... So the lock smith had to break a window to access the shop to get it all sorted and put new locks on the shop door.

Just thought I would share this story with you.
