Well, yup. Of course. You go pick the kids up, bring them home and then you are forced to give them some actual attention and maybe even some food , before you can come back to your one true love with a clear conscience and leave them to it for the rest of the night

well.....I often have school run, then home to gt changed, then out for ballet/dance/beavers etc, then home to sort out dinner, doing lunch boxes for tomorrow......all that.

Hecate, you could always do what I do and leave a fair number of cheerios on the floor in case DS gets hungry.
