Me, DH and DD (12 months) are full of cold. DH is at work.

Its my last 10 days of my 14 months of maternity leave . I should be making the most of it and being out and about and doing lots of fun stuff for DD.

Maybe I should be cleaning the house?

Instead I am watching "Place in the sun" whilst DD naps and I am browing on mumsnet.

How am I going to cope with a job (part time) to go to?!!!!

Have I become a lazy cow?

And AIBU to think that day nurse is crap and does not work???????? I might take calpol.

AIBU to feel sorry for myself when its only a damn cold. Also how come I have felt the need to drink 3 pints of water before 10am?!

Make a cuppa, get the biccies out and relax. Enjoy the fact that you can watch Place in the Sun, Deal or No Deal, To Buy or Not to Buy, all that absolute tosh they put on in the daytime. I miss it! I think I want another baby so I can do it again.

Yep, I am wondering whether its bad form to go back to work pregnant (although I would have to get a move on and be very lucky ) or whether I even care what they think.

DH was made redundant at christmas (finishes at end of Jan) but has a 2nd interview tomorrow for a new job. This is great news but would mean a house move and lots of early starts for both of us. I think I have become spoilt over this last year.

It is easy to just sit around, I have to force myself to do stuff, in fact I've just turned the central heating off so I can do some exercising (to cd ) in an hour!

Still, if you're feeling rubbish I can't think of anything better than indulging in abit of A Place In The SUn

Yanbbu to feel sorry for yourself at all.

Hope you feel better soon.

Fwiw, you will be fine working - lesser specemins are.

And no, you wouldn't be the first to go back from mat leave already pg!

I'm not preg by the way, just wouldn't mind. I think DH is still traumatised by those first 3 months (which I seem to have forgotten?????).

I think I ought to wait until he has a job and then resume my life as a lady of "leisure". Although not very leisurely with 2 DC's ... !!!

Its weird as I have spent a year telling people that its easier to be at work, but now I want to stay at home. Grass being greener and all that.

Although I suppose at work, feeling like I do today, I would be spending a duvet day with DD at nursery. Oh lovely.

I have emptied the bins so that I can feel good about myself.

I spent the last couple of months of my maternity leave dreading going back to work, and counting the days off. It totally spoilt my last few weeks as all I thought about was not wanting to go back to work and leave DS. I only cried every morning on the first week back at work, then got back into the swing of it again.
