To expect other chilren not to draw on DS.

DS has come home from School with his hand written on.

In my eyes you write on paper. Anything else is wrong.

I can understand some children will get their hands dirty from doing their own colouring etc.. But to have someone else draw on hands is something else.

Is your son bothered by it? What does he say has happened? How old is he?

cmotdibbler · 19/01/2009 16:09

YABU. Completely normal thing to do

skay · 19/01/2009 16:10

He is in Yr1.

Appears not to be bothered by it.

Will investigate more.

Rather hands than clothes .

I wouldn't be too concerned.

CountessLiffey · 19/01/2009 16:12

You can't expect anything really. I remember teachers being shocked when I went IN to school with butterflies and flowers all over my legs, and my MUM had drawn them! I was about 6 too.

FGS, don't be so precious. Soap. Water. Hey presto, it will be gone.

cory · 19/01/2009 16:14

And you should have seen the other boy...

weblette · 19/01/2009 16:14

Handwriting samples from the whole class should unearth the culprit

goblinvalley · 19/01/2009 16:20

Perfectly normal behaviour.

Ask your ds how he feels, you may find that he initiated it

My ds certainly does - and then suddenly can't remember who wrote lovely squiggly lines up his forearms

bellavita · 19/01/2009 16:21

tis what children do I am afraid - especially at that age.

ask him if he has drawn on someone else......you will probably find that a few of them all drew on each other, just because they can and they found it amusing.

my DS2 came home from reception once with a chunk cut out of his hair.........and I was pretty upset.

only thing was that when I went in to talk to the teacher about it, it seems that he and a little girl he was friends with both decided that they would like a hair cut, and cut each others hair.

obviously the little girls parents were a tad more upset, as DS2 gave her a pretty high and very unlevel fringe, when she had none previously..

at least pen washes off.........hair take a wee while to grow back

bellavita · 19/01/2009 16:26

lol at lula

Idrankthechristmasspirits · 19/01/2009 16:28

OMG have you spoken to the headteacher about this?? You do realise that's assault don't you?

A and E, make sure you take pictures, then early bath and bed (for you) if i were you.

You do realise you will have to moves schools and home and everything now.

for you.

MmeLindt · 19/01/2009 16:30

You are overreacting, it is something that children do.

Be glad it wasn't a haircut. DD played hairdressers with her friends at that age.

Pingping · 19/01/2009 16:31

PMSL IdranktheChristmasspirits

You lucky he didn't come home with a tattoo done by a compass. Year 4 my friend asked me to scratch in I love Dean Smith on her arm we did her mum was not impressed need to ask her if she still has the scars

HecateQueenOfGhosts · 19/01/2009 16:36

no big deal. Mine are covered in scribble many times

Sometimes I'm the scribbler!! I make faces on each of their fingers, for example.

Well, I get bored at times and they killed my pelvic floor, so they owe me

serenity · 19/01/2009 16:37
Hmm
Snooch · 19/01/2009 16:43

Ok Skay, guess you got your answer there....um, yup - you are being a little unreasonable....

Themasterandmargaritas · 19/01/2009 16:44

Lol at Dean Smith.

Was it a good drawing?

VinegarTits · 19/01/2009 16:44

Pfb?

skay · 19/01/2009 16:46

The Master - No not particularly.

Upon further investigation have found that DS Saw him do it to other children and wanted his done too.

Yeah, you want to start practising now, in time for the haircut. Dd had hers done at a sleepover, while still asleep.
