DS has come home from School with his hand written on.

In my eyes you write on paper. Anything else is wrong.

I can understand some children will get their hands dirty from doing their own colouring etc.. But to have someone else draw on hands is something else.

Thank god for MN

Saved you from an embarrasing conversation with his teacher

Pingping · 19/01/2009 16:51

Skay did it really bother you didn't you ever draw on other children when you was at school.

Wait till the start using fountain pens and there lovely white shirts come back with ink blotches from an ink fight lol

Themasterandmargaritas · 19/01/2009 16:55

Your ds obviously thought it was a good one though if he wanted what the others had.

Dd cut her own hair at school fgs. With a pair of proper scissors an all. She's a smart girl, it looks a lot better now and saved me a bob or two.

skay · 19/01/2009 16:57

Pingpong - I never drew on myself... Forget about drawing on anybody else.

YABU. It is normal behaviour.

Pingping · 19/01/2009 17:15

Skay I think you should get a felt tip get your DS and both draw on each other its great fun honest!

Stayingsunnygirl · 19/01/2009 17:19

Ds2 comes home covered in pen most days - and he does it to himself. Oh, and he's 13. I am waiting for him to get some smatterings of common sense......[slightly despairing emoticon]

Ds1 has his arm in a cast at the moment (broken wrist) and it is covered in graffiti - he's in S3 (the equivalent of Year 10 in England).

seeker · 19/01/2009 17:41

Is he a Badly Drawn Boy?

MrsMattie · 19/01/2009 17:42

Get over it

mysterymoniker · 19/01/2009 17:44

wind up, right?

KatieScarlett2833 · 19/01/2009 17:51

DD is 13 and comes home EVERY DAY with her friends drawings on her hands and arms. It's a good thing, according to her.

QueenLiffey · 19/01/2009 18:01

Cory! I can't believe your dd's friends cut her hair while she was sleeping!! Now that is a bit OH mygod.

cory · 19/01/2009 18:03

it was only a small fringe, and dd is 12, so I suppose it could have been a lot worse. But she looks silly.

mumblechum · 19/01/2009 18:09

Hmm wait till your ds is 13 and the girl next to him writes "I'm horny" on his hand.

I kid you not.

SeymourButz · 19/01/2009 18:10

WHO cARES?
oh yes you do.
Oh fgs it really is not important.

kittywise · 19/01/2009 18:13

Mine are often covered in biro, They regularly draw all over themselves. What on earth is wrong with it?

God lord if a bit of biro gets you in a tizz then you are in for really rough ride later on.

Learn to chill.

Mimia · 19/01/2009 19:09

Is this really a serious post? You sound very uptight, perhaps some deep breathing?

wotulookinat · 19/01/2009 19:11

YABU. Don't stress about it.

MrsMagooo · 19/01/2009 19:13

YABU - perfectly normal behaviour

DD decided to colour in her leg with her felt pens the other day - she was most proud of it too

Soon came off in the bath

fizzbuzz · 19/01/2009 19:18

My ds once coloured ALL his willie in bright green felt pen (incl testicles)

He was in paddling pool, with nothing on and running round. He ran inside and found the felt pens...and Lo! Bright green gonads!

"In my eyes you write on paper. Anything else is wrong."

I have written on my hands for years, less likely to lose them than a piece of paper. I am sure there must be a 12 step programme for me somewhere.
