To think games like "Bully" should be banned?

DP got this game, Bully for xbox where you play a 15 year old kid and go around beating up other kids and attacking teachers. AIBU stuck up or unreasonable to think there is no place for this kind of thing in todays violent world? especially with teen violence the way it is.

I wouldn't let my kids play on it or watch it but your dp is a grown man so there's not much you can do really.

FWIW I absolutely hate all of those violent killing games.

Games like Bully will not make anyone into a bully unless they have huge hangups and small willies

And I played Manhunt. Rockstar games are very ironic actually and have a good deal of self parody.

I know PingPing but I just don;t have time anymore. I'm getting a bit tired of open world games to be honest.

I am surprised that loads of people haven't come on here and given us a bashing for playing GTA.

People already know about me

So long as the person is old enough for the rating a game gets, I don't see any problem personally. Adults are not going to become violent in real life because of playing games like these.

I'm not going to go round the town with a bulldozer just because I enjoy doing it in SimCity either

PP, I've yet to finish GTA4. Since having kids I just don't have the time to devote to open world games - much to my chagrin

The media got their knickers in a twist over nothing about Bully. You don't go round bullying other kids and mugging people. I've played it at DH's friend's house and it's more like being inside a Beano cartoon strip than anything else.

There are missions where you have to stop the bullies from picking on the weaker kids, and other helpful things, as well.
